Six dice are placed into a small case at random and covered with a lid and shaken.When the lid is removed, the dice are lined up in order from 1 to 6. With another shake, the order of the dice reverses (6 to 1).The magician makes a prediction on a slip of paper. The spectator is asked to throw the dice on the table and count the number of spots showing, adding them together. The dice are replaced into the case and shaken. The number of spots which now appear on the dice are added to the previous total. The result matches the prediction.Finally the spectator picks out one of the six dice. The remaining five are replaced into the case and shaken once again. Hey presto - All the dice in the case show the same number as the die the spectator selected.

During the first production run, FLASH DICE was not provided with the blue case.

Development story:

This effect is based on the old trick known as "Sure Shot Dice." In that trick, two dice are placed inside of a round case, and shaken up. The magician is then able to determine how many spots are on the top of each die. The case used in this trick is rather delicate, and when we analyzed the principle involved, we realized that it was very simple, and that there was no need for the case to be round. When we changed the case into a rectangular shape, and increased the number of dice, it became possible to perform several completely different effects. The wonderful theme of "controlling the random roll of dice" has made this trick a best seller over the years. It contains many of the elements that we at Tenyo strive for when creating excellent magic: 1) it is easy enough for anyone to perform, 2) it uses everyday items, 3) it can be carried in your pocket, and 4) it can be repeated.

Le magicien place six dés dans une petite boîte en plastique et la secoue. Dans un premier temps, les dés mélangés se trouvent organisés de manière inattendue: ils peuvent être classés de 1 à 6 ou présenter tous la même face au dessus... En deuxième partie, le magicien prédit d'avance le total des dés mélangés par le spectateur. Finalement, il change tous les dés pour obtenir un nombre sélectionné par le spectateur.
La compagnie « Hasbro Canada Inc. » a reproduit ce tour sous le nom DÉS MYSTÉRIEUX en 1994. Il y a quelques années, le fabricant chinois « Chu's magic » a également édité une copie de ce tour ne comportant que cinq dés. De plus au début de la production de Flash Dice par Tenyo la petite pochette bleue pour ranger les dés n'était pas fournie avec le tour.

Histoire du développement:

Cet effet est basé sur un vieux tour connu sous le nom de "Sure Shot Dice". Dans ce tour, deux dés sont placés à l'intérieur d'une boite ronde et la boite est secouée. Le magicien est alors capable de deviner combien de points sont sur le dessus de chaque dé. Cette boite utilise un truc parfois un peu délicat à présenter et quand nous avons analyser le principe utilisé, nous avons réalisé que le mécanisme était très simple et qu'il n'y avait pas besoin que le boite soit ronde pour que le tout fonctionne correctement. Nous avons donc changé la forme de la boite pour qu'elle devienne rectangulaire, et ceci nous à permis d'augmenter le nombre de dés présents dans la routine. Il est alors devenu possible de présenter tout un tas de nouveaux effets avec le matériel que nous avions construit. La superbe idée de pouvoir contrôler un jeté de dés aléatoire ont fait que ce tour est devenu une de nos meilleures vente au fil des années. Il contient tout les éléments qui font que ce tour Tenyo est devenu un vrai succès en plus d'être un excellent tour de magie : 1- Il est facile à faire par n'importe qui. 2-Il utilise des objets de la vie quotidienne. 3- il peut être transporté facilement partout dans votre poche. 4-Il peut être répété sans risque.
