Let a spectator mentally select any object such as an animal or musical instrument - anything. You make a prediction and write it on the upper section of the board and close the lid hiding it from view. The spectator then writes down the object he thought of on the lower section of the board. You continue with your predictions twice more. For instance you ask the spectator to think of a letter of the alphabet and a suit from a deck of cards. The predictions are written before the thoughts. Unbelievably, when the lids are opened, all the predictions are correct. A magic of reading the other's mind. You can put down on the board just what the spectator have in his mind.

Trivia:
The version from 1974 is no longer produced by Tenyo, but a new version of this effect was marketed in 1992 under the reference "T-158 Menta Marvel" wich is really better and more complete. In addition, the original version of Occult Board was white and had sliding shutters with small handles (as pictured above). Tenyo republished this props with the number T-66 B, but the board has been completely redesigned. The board is now orange, there is no more small handles but instead there are drawings of ESP symbols

À l'aide de cette ingénieuse ardoise, vous pourrez vraiment "prouver" votre pouvoir de lecture dans les pensées. Ce grand classique n'a pas prit un ride et l'impact sur les spectateurs est toujours aussi puissant. Le magicien inscrit une prédiction sur la première case de l'ardoise, puis le spectateur y écrit un mot ou un dessin de son choix. L'opération est renouvelée deux autres fois et à le fin vous comparez vos prédictions... elles sont identiques aux choix du spectateur en tout point !

Anecdote:
Cette version de 1974 n'est aujourd'hui plus produite par Tenyo, mais une nouvelle version de cet effet a été commercialisée en 1992, sous la référence " T-158 Menta Marvel" et cette dernière est vraiment plus jolie et beaucoup plus complète. De plus la version originale d' Occult Board était de couleur blanche et ses volets coulissants étaient dotés de petites poignées (comme sur la photo ci dessus). Tenyo réédita cet appareil sous la référence T-66 B mais le design du matériel a été complètement revu. L'ardoise est cette fois de couleur orange, et ses volets n'ont plus de poignée mais comportent des dessins de symboles ESP.
