After two years of intensive work, we’re pleased to announce that Tenyo-ism is now available for shipping . The layout of almost 1,400 pages is complete and we are now in the final round of proofreading, with every detail being checked by Hiroshi Kondo and Tomoyuki Shimomura, both of whom worked in Tenyo’s Creative Division for many decades.
The books contain an entry on every trick which Tenyo has marketed outside Japan, as well as most of the tricks sold only in Japan, since 1964.
With an introduction by David Copperfield and a new essay by musician Alan Parsons, the book is divided into four main sections:
1. An overview of the history of Tenyo Shokyokusai and the origin of the Tenyo Magic Lab; and it’s growth under his son Akira Yamada into the Tenyo Company Ltd.
2. An item-by-item chronological review of virtually every Tenyo effect released since 1965, including many items sold only in Japan, such as the Plus One series and the Magician’s Selection series. Many prototypes for effects are discussed, including the original handlings for numerous Tenyo effects. There are also an enormous number of new handlings for many familiar Tenyo tricks not only by the Tenyo staff, but also by Dr. Sawa. Tom Stone, R. Paul Wilson, Dick Koornwinder, Tomas Blomberg, Dan Harlan, Michael Weber, Sebastian Clergue, Akira Fujii, Kazuyuki Hase, Angelo Carbone, Lubor Fiedler, Mark Setteducati, Shinya Ooike, Simon Corneille, Steve Vil, Yasuo Amano, Brad Henderson, Tomoaki “Billy” Masuda, Atsushi Yoshida, Kenji Shimizu, and Tenyo demonstrators Kazumasa Shimizu and Jindai Nishikawa.

1-Future Puzzle created by Sou Sato
A box is shown with jigsaw puzzle pieces. Spectator is ask to name any picture playing card. (Jack, Queen or King of any suit.) Box is opened and the puzzle pieces are dumped out. Spectator is asked to assemble the puzzle. When assembled, the card shown will match the one the spectator named---------------------------------------------------------------

As part of the “World’s Greatest Magic” line, Tenyo is releasing their version of a contemporary trick that many professionals are using. Spectator is shown a deck of cards and a tiny plunger. Spectator is asked to name any number. The plunger is then pressed on top of the deck. When lifted, a number of cards get picked up with it. This year, Kenichi Komiya offers us its 8th creation for the main collection from Tenyo. After a very promising start in 1999 with T-190 Bioshock, Kenichi Komiya had then abandoned the creations of original tricks to focus on adapting and improving classical principles of magic. Thus, over the years, he offered his Tenyo "ultimate" version of many popular tricks like well known pierced balloon with T-232 Balloon Illusion, torn and restored newspaper with T-234 Newsworthy Tear, or with T -236 in Vanishing Point using magic techniques, the popular Miser's Dream effect updated with T-239 Millionaires' Dream, until last year with the highly successful T-259 Money Shock which is an improved version of the classic Patrick Page Flash Money which is of one of the best tricks you can do with paper currency.
For this 2015 Tenyo collection Kenichi Komiya continues its run. Thus, after having transformed a simple paper to a genuine banknote, he now offer to change a solid metal ball into a real coin. With its original creation THE ALCHEMIST, Komiya launches into an area explored many times but still much appreciated, change the metal in silver. Tenyo has already often tried this idea in the past years with varying degrees of success. A first and second time with T-113 QuickSilver and T-122 Excalibur two closely related effects in their design and operating system, using complex equipment, and a third time with the very good T-148 Mira Metal, which managed to change metal in silver, with simplicity, using the minimum equipment.
With The Alchemist, Komiya divide his routine into several steps to creates his own miracle. It's a kind of adaptation of T-249 Magic Pop-Up but this time in reverse, while drawing inspiration from magic tricks like T-228 4-Dimensional Trunk or T-87 Squeeze Play. At the end the result is good and almost poetic in its execution. The technique should never be an obstacle to the art. And all the art here is the wonder of seeing this metal ball become gradually, in your fingertips, a genuine coin. The movements are linked together elegantly and the illusion is simply perfect. I also think that we should not seek to complicate routine wanting to make a change or looking to multiply the complicated handling. The beauty of this effect is in its simplicity, it is a bit like Origami where you must capture the essence of a subject with the smallest number of possible fold, where each movement must have a reason to exist and where the result should be elegant, well thought out and clean.
To conclude, the construction of the gimmick allows you, with a little practice, to remove the formed metal token from the black disc washer, to move into position for the final , without having to hide the disk surface in order to visually enhance the effect. Tenyo s'est deja souvent essayé à cette exercice dans le passé avec plus ou moins de succès. A spectator inserts a credit card into a case by himself. The instant the magician makes a magic wave over the case, the spectator is now unable to remove the card! When the magician takes back the case, he is able to slide out the card with no difficulty. This is the latest release from genius creator Lubor Fiedler! The props look and feel absolutely ungimmicked, yet allow you to perform this engaging and baffling magic effect with ease.Remove the card from the locked case, and allow your spectator to examine everything carefully. Ask him to insert the card into the case. Wave the lock over the case with a magic gesture. Suddenly, it is impossible for your spectator to remove the card from the case! When you retrieve the case from your spectator, you are able to easily remove the card. Alternate performance from Toru Suzuki is included. The magician show a transparent green plastic sleeve with a "Magician's club" credit card inside. Both the sleeve and the credit card have a hole punched in one side. The magician show that the credit card can slide freely back and forth in the sleeve. The magician then takes a pad lock and secures the credit card inside the sleeve. Even though the two items are locked together, the magician can remove the credit card from the sleeve even though the lock is still locked. The items can be passed out for inspection.

Sous les yeux d’un spectateur attentif, le magicien insère une carte bancaire ; percée d’un trou à l’une de ses extrémités, dans un étui transparent troué au même endroit, et passe un cadenas dans les trous : il est maintenant impossible de retirer la carte de l’étui. Estimant tout compte fait que ce genre d’antivol n’est pas très pratique, il enlève le cadenas et dit qu’il peut arriver au même résultat en faisant une simple passe magique au-dessus de l’étui avec ce même cadenas. Après l’avoir faite, il demande au spectateur de retirer la carte de l’étui. Malgré tous ses efforts, celui-ci est incapable de le faire ! Lorsqu’il s’avoue vaincu, le magicien reprend l’étui et en retire la carte sans aucune difficulté ! En bonus, nous vous proposons un deuxième effet de Toru Suzuki: la carte de crédit, enfermée dans l'étui, sécurisée par un cadenas, est libéré sans aucune difficulté, alors que tout peut être laissé à l'examen ! Vous pouvez si vous le désirez enchaîner les deux effets.Cet effet a été inventé par le génial magicien autrichien Lubor Fiedler. Bien que le secret qui permet de le réaliser soit d’une extrême simplicité, il est d’autant plus stupéfiant que la magie se produit entre les mains mêmes du spectateur !

This trick uses 8 cards, each pictured with the letter C in different orientation ( this is called the Landolt Ring Vision test, used for example in video game like Nintendo DS Vision Training), 4 are black and 4 are red. By using these unique cards you can perform two magic effects. In the first one the magician is able to determine if a card is red or black. In the second part of the routine the spectator cuts the cards as often as he wants and places three random
cards in front of him. The cards are then covered with a handkerchief and
you are able to identify the openings of the circles on the cards by
using your magical 'black occlude'.
The gimmick designed by Sou Sato and Toru Suzuki is very very clever and devious. The qualityof the whole is is great as usual.

effet utilise huit cartes spéciales, chacune représentant la lettre
"C" qui est d'une part soit écrite en rouge ou soit écrite en noir et
d'autre part orientée de manière différente ( ceci est le test de vision

l'utilisation d' un "Monocle noir"" magique fort intriguant pour le
spectateur.
Le
truc inventé par Sou Sato et Toru Suzuki pour réussir cette performance
est particulièrement ingénieux et totalement inédit. La qualité de
l'ensemble est très bonne comme à l'habitude avec cette collection Tenyo
