A play mat in green cloth is presented, it's a miniature version of those that were found at the casino when playing roulette. On one side there is the drawing of roulette with various playing cards drawn above and the other side there is the part that is usually used to bet money in which we find all the playing cards available in the roulette. You suggest to the viewer to play a game similar to roulette at the casino but here the ball is replaced by a small disk on which various numbers are listed. You ask the spectator to secretly choose any playing card as a starting point on the roulette wheel. Now you ask the spectator to take the disk and secretly choose one of the numbers that are printed above and then place the disk in the center of the roulette by aligning the number he has chosen with the "starting point" that it has chosen on the wheel at first. You explain that you know neither the card nor the number chosen by the spectator and there are dozens of different combinations possible. Yet you place a coin on the table betting as your prediction and you ask the spectator to move clockwise around the wheel the number equal to the number he has chosen on the disk. Now you ask the spectator tell you wich card they stopped on. Finally you lift the coin, so that your spectator can see that the card they landed on matches the card under the coin. The magician was right and if you were in Casino, and you had the hability to predict the number before the ball has stopped, you could win a lot of money! Unfortunately is not magician who wants!

Un tapis de jeu en tissu vert est présenté, version miniature de ceux que l'on trouve au casino lorsqu'on joue à la roulette. D'un coté il y a le dessin de la roulette et ses cases qui représentent diverses cartes à jouer et de l'autre la partie qui sert habituellement à miser avec un tableau dans lequel on retrouve toutes les cartes disponibles sur la roulette. Vous proposez au spectateur de jouer à un jeu similaire à celui de la roulette du casino mais ici la balle est remplacée par un petit disque sur lequel divers nombres sont inscrits. Vous demandez au spectateur de choisir secrètement un point de départ sur la roulette, il choisit donc une des cartes à jouer dessinée dessus. Maintenant, vous demandez au spectateur de prendre le disque et de choisir mentalement un des nombres qui sont imprimés dessus puis de placer le disque au centre de la roulette en alignant le nombre sélectionné avec la carte "point de départ" qu'il a choisi sur la roulette au début. Vous faites remarquer que vous ne connaissez ni la carte, ni le nombre choisi par le spectateur et qu'il y a des dizaines de combinaisons différentes possibles. Pourtant, vous placez une pièce de monnaie sur la table de pari qui représente votre prédiction. Maintenant, il est demandé au spectateur de partir de sa carte de départ et d'avancer du nombre de cases indiqué par le nombre qu'il a choisi sur le disque, dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre, autour de la roulette. Vous demandez alors au spectateur sur quelle carte il s'est arrêté. Vous désignez alors la pièce de monnaie, votre prédiction, et demandez au spectateur de regarder en dessous. La carte sur laquelle le spectateur s'est finalement arrêté est la même que celle qu'il y a sous la pièce de monnaie. Le magicien a vu juste et si comme lui vous étiez capable, au casino, de prédire à la roulette le nombre gagnant avant que la boule s'arrête vous pourriez gagner beaucoup d'argent! Hélas n'est pas magicien qui veut!

For years, magicians have used such “rattle boxes" in their performances. However this box has been entirely redesigned with a brand new gimmick. The best way to understand how advanced this gimmick has become is to hold it in your own hands. You can immediately hand out the box to a spectator since its clever gimmick is so well-hidden. We consider this to be the ultimate rattle box. Two routines are included: “Instant Ring Transport" in which a ring vanishes from inside the box and instantly appears on your finger, and “Magic Knot" in which a borrowed coin vanishes from the box thanks to a magical handkerchief.

Une bague empruntée à un spectateur est placée dans une petite boite noir. La boite est secouée pour prouver que la bague est bien à l'intérieur puis elle est placé dans la main du spectateur et on demande à celui ci de la couvrir avec ses deux main. Âpres une passe magique, quand la boite est ouverte la bague à disparue et elle réapparait sur la doigt du magicien ! Dans une deuxième routine proposée par Tenyo vous pourrez faire disparaitre une pièce de monnaie pour la faire réapparaitre dans le nœud d'un foulard que vous aurez montré vide auparavant. En vous trouverez sans problème de multiples application pour cette petite boite. Son mécanisme est extrêmement ingénieux et la qualité de fabrication est tout simplement irréprochable. Trap Box Bien est plus qu'une simple "Rattle boxe" car il combine deux mécanisme différents de manière inédite, de plus la boite est examinable sans risque.

A spectator chooses a card and places it back in the deck. Deck is divided into 4 stacks of cards. A small light bulb is shown and placed inside a handkerchief. The handkerchief is lowered on top of each stacks of card and the bulb lights to one of the stacks, the top card is turned over to reveal the chosen card. Magician claims that this light bulb is connected with an invisible cord. Scissors are taken out and cuts the invisible cord, turning off the light.
This is an absolutely incredible way to locate a spectator's chosen card! The eery feeling of the bulb illuminating in the spectator's own hands is as commercial an effect as you could ever hope to achieve. Of course, when you cut the invisible wire with your scissors and the light goes out, your audience will be totally blown away! The Tenyo Ghost Lamp is great for trade shows and can be adapted for living and dead tests, jewelry, more. Long unobtainable, this is a visual, mysterious, really sensational effect! This masterpiece of magic, made famous by magic creator Scotty York, is now available through our World's Greatest Magic series. Included in this set are: a light bulb, a trick deck of cards and a special gimmick you can use for added impact.

I really like Tenyo's Ghost Lamp, as the mechanism used seems to work flawlessly and the light bulb is fairly bright and easy to see. This appears to emulate more of a mini bulb with a large base and a plastic housing. Some may complain that this bulb looks more like a toy bulb, but I found a perfect "Tungsram" 40 watt G16.5 bulb box from Ikea (small white base) that looks like a perfect place to house this bulb and disguise it's true magical pedigree. The light bulb responded without fail in my testing it, and the batteries within the bulb are 2 standard CR1220 cells and should be easy to change out. The bulb itself is fairly examinable.

The cards supplied are the "Streamline" branded poker playing cards - they look and feel quite good, and they say they are made by the U.S. Playing card company. If you are a little DIY you'll have no trouble adapting the gimmick to the Bicycle card or other one. The quality of the main gimmick also seems rock solid, and the instructions make it fairly easy to pick up the routine in short order. As many know this effect was a creation of the talented Scotty York, and the instructions even include his alternate handling which involves 3 stacks of cards and some cute and humerous touches which some my want to use.

 This is certainly one of the best that Tenyo has put out in some time, and the electronics and thought that went into this effect have created a trick that is nearly self working and would a be fun at any dinner party. The Scotty York Lamp is one of the true classics of magic. If you have always wanted one, but just didn’t have $200 to spend, this is your lucky day!

Un spectateur choisi une carte au hasard et la replace dans la paquet. Le paquet est divisé en 4 piles. Une petite ampoule est présentée puis enfermée dans un foulard. L'ampoule est ensuite passée au dessus des piles de carte par le spectateur lui même et l'ampoule s'allume lorsque celle ci est au dessus de la carte sélectionnée ! Le magicien prétend alors que l'ampoule est reliée à un fil invisible, il sort une paire de ciseaux ( réel ou imaginaire ) puis coupe alors ce fil et l'ampoule s'éteint comme par magie.

J'aime beaucoup Tenyo Ghost Lamp, le mécanisme utilisé fonctionne parfaitement bien et la lumière qu'émet l'ampoule est assez puissante pour que tout le monde puisse la voir dans l'assistance lors de la présentation. L'ampoule ressemble aux petites ampoules à économie d'énergie que l'ont trouve partout de nos jours avec un large base en métal et une enveloppe en plastique rigide. Beaucoup de gens avaient peur que l'ampoule ressemble trop à jouet mais ce n'est pas le cas et j'ai trouvé un modèle dans le commerce qui correspond parfaitement a celui utilisé par Tenyo et vous pourrez utiliser la boite des "Tungsram" 40 watt G.16.5 vendues chez Ikea pour ranger l'ampoule chez vous et ainsi facilement déguiser le fait qu'il s'agit de matériel de magie. Lors de mes tests l'ampoule a réagit au quart de tour et vous pourrez vous reposer sur le matériel fournit en toute confiance sans craindre la moindre défaillance. De plus les batteries à l'intérieur de l'ampoule sont des CR1220 standard et sont facilement remplaçable quand le besoin s'en fera sentir. L'ampoule est d'ailleurs assez bien construite pour être laissée à l'examen rapide du public.

Les cartes incluses dans la boite sont des cartes à jouer de Poker de la marque "Streamline", elles sont très jolies et sont agréables à manipuler. Il d'ailleurs est indiqué qu'elles sont fabriquées par la U.S. Playing card company ce qui est gage de bonne qualité. Si vous êtes un peu bricoleur vous n'aurez aucun mal à adapter le gimmick à des cartes Bicycle ou à votre marque de carte favorite. Comme toujours chez Tenyo, un soin tout particulier a été porté à la rédaction de la notice d'utilisation qui est très bien expliquées avec de nombreux dessins qui vous guiderons pas à pas et vous pourrez présenter la routine aussitôt le matériel en main. Comme beaucoup le savent déjà cet effet est une création du talentueux magicien Scotty York et la notice du tour inclue également sa routine personnelle toute en finesse avec une touche humoristique intéressante qui ne manquera pas de vous surprendre.

Ghost Lamp fait donc partie des meilleurs effets que Tenyo à produit ces dernières années, tout a été parfaitement pensé et maitrisé pour offrir un tour de bonne qualité qui soit complet, jolie, automatique et il est certain que vous prendrez beaucoup de plaisir à présenter.

This Disney version has a routine very similar to "Ghost Lamp". 9 cards representative of the Disney characters are presented to the spectators who chose one at random. The selected card is returned to the deck that is cut and mixed so no one can know where she is. Now the 9 cards are placed on the table the one beside the other. Then a Mickey Mouse figurine is placed on the first card. Nothing happens. It then continues with the following cards and suddenly the figure glows intensely! The card is returned and that is exactly the one that was chosen in secret by the viewer. Mickey Mouse is shining only on the chosen card.

Cette version Disney reprend un effet très similaire à celui de Ghost Lamp. 9 cartes représentant des personnages Disneys sont présentées aux spectateurs qui en choisi une au hasard. La carte choisie est remise dans le paquet qui est coupé et mélangé afin que personne ne puisse savoir ou elle se trouve. On pose alors les cartes les une à coté des autres sur la table. Ensuite une figurine représentant Mickey est présentée et elle est posée sur la première cartes. Rien ne se passe. On recommence alors avec les cartes suivantes et soudainement la figurine se met à briller intensément ! La carte est alors retournée et c'est exactement celle qui avait été choisie en secret par le spectateur.

A dollar bill floats out of your hand, and dances in mid-air - left and right, up and down. Finally it floats straight up, above your head. This “floating bill" effect is both effective and easy-to-do. The clever gimmick has been designed to enable you to take a bill from any country - U.S. dollars, Euros, etc. - and instantly make it float upward from your hands. At any time, you can show the front and back of the bill, and since there are no threads involved, you can perform this virtually anywhere and for any size audience - just inches away from your spectators. This is the ultimate floating bill effect, and it's both easy and fun to perform.

Review:
As you can see from the video, the effect is laughable and it's easy to guess how the it works. The "magic" shown in this video is just what Tenyo has done worse for a very long time. Nevertheless we must admit that the gimmick is more subtle and clever than you think and ultimately the idea behind this trick is really nice.
Unfortunately the presentation is really difficult to perform if you want it to seem realistic and this is the main big problem of Cloud Money. Maybe, in the future, a magician will do something good with this gimmick but for now, beyond the ingenuity of material, it is difficult to advise you to buy Cloud Money because you'll have difficulties to convincingly introduce this magic to your audience. You have to know that there are no wires, and the gimmick is not really "fake thumb" but something more sophisticated. It also require that the public step a bit away from you if you want to show both sides of the banknote during performance. You can't  borrow the bill and he should not be bent because it must remain completly rigid when it levitates. To conclude this magic trick is a good idea at the level of the clever material used but it is unfortunately very bad when it comes to perform.

Trivia:
Incredible as it may seem, the best selling item for 2011 has been Cloud Money, the trick that the community of magicians considered to be one of 2011's less-impressive efforts. You should know that the majority of sales are made in Japan in the toy stores and that their main buyer are children. Children have therefore estimated, despite a very basic and simple packaging, that Cloud Money was the effect the most attractive of the 2011 line, in front of "4-D Surprise" or "Ghost Lamp". The levitation effect are always appreciated and intrigue consumers easily, it may be the reason why this trick has been a commercial success. Nevertheless we must not forget that this is not because Cloud Money was the best selling of the year that customers have been satisfied by their purchase at the end. Unfortunately, this surprising result should not really encourage Tenyo to create more innovative effects in the future.

Vous pourrez présenter cet effet n'importe ou et n'importe quand juste devant les yeux moqueurs des spectateurs. Ce tour inclut un DVD et il est facile à présenter.

Review:

Comme vous avez pu le voir, la vidéo de l'effet est risible et ne donne pas du tout envie d'acheter ce tour tellement il est facile de deviner comment l'effet fonctionne. L'effet présenté dans cette vidéo est simplement ce que Tenyo a fait de pire depuis très longtemps. Malgré tout il faut avouer que le gimmick est plus subtile et ingénieux que vous ne le pensez et qu'en fin de compte l'idée derrière ce tour est vraiment bonne. Hélas la présentation est vraiment difficile si vous voulez que cela paraisse réaliste et c'est bien à ce niveau la qu'est le gros problème de Cloud Money. Il manque un petit quelque chose pour que la présentation soit aussi bonne que l'idée qu'a eu Toru Suzuki en créant ce Gimmick. Peut être qu'un magicien arrivera à faire de ce tour quelque chose de bien dans le futur mais pour le moment au delà de l'ingéniosité du matériel il est difficile de vous conseiller d'acheter cet effet car vous aurez beaucoup de mal à le présenter en public. Sachez qu'il n'y a pas de fil, qu'il n'y a pas réellement de faux pouce non plus et qu'il faut que le public soit un peu éloigné si vous désirez montrer les deux faces du billet de banque pendant la présentation. Pour finir vous pourrez difficilement emprunter le billet à moins de vous entrainer longuement car il y a une petite manipulation à faire et il faut aussi que le billet ne soit pas plié pour qu'il reste rigide quand il lévite. Pour conclure ce tour est une bonne idée au niveau du matériel utilisé mais il est hélas extrêmement mauvais lorsqu'il s'agit de le présenter.

Anecdote:
Aussi incroyable que cela puisse paraitre, la meilleures vente de Tenyo pour l'année 2011 à été Cloud Money qui est pourtant le tour qui a le plus déçu la communauté des magiciens. Il faut savoir que la majorité des ventes de l'entreprise se font au Japon dans les magasins de jouet dont la cible sont les enfants. Lors de l'achat ces derniers ont donc estimés, malgré un packaging extrêmement basique et simple, que Cloud Money était l'effet le plus attirant de la ligne 2011, face à "4-D Surprise" ou encore "Ghost Lamp". Les effets de lévitations sont toujours très appréciés et ils intriguent facilement les consommateur, c'est peut être pour cette raison que ce tour à été un succès commercial. Malgré tout il ne faut pas oublier que ce n'est pas parce que Cloud Money à été la meilleures vente de l'année que les clients en ont été satisfait pour autant. Hélas, ce résultat vraiment étonnant ne devrait pas encourager Tenyo à creer des effets ingénieux et novateurs dans le futur.

The ingenious creator Lubor Fiedler has finally made this magical dream come true. Your audiences will shriek in surprise when they see the Statue of Liberty appear. This is an extraordinarily visual, brand-new effect, the likes of which have never been seen before.

Review :

The first thing that comes to mind with 4D surprise is a kind of relief because after two bad years  it was time for Tenyo to finally creates a killer effect which marks the minds as they do so often in the past. However it's a semi victory because this fabulous magic trick doesn't come from Tenyo engineers but from another well known magician, Lubor Fiedler, who already worked with Tenyo in the past, creating innovative effects such as "Impossible Pen","Antigravity Rock"and the brilliant "Invisible Zone".

The special props used in 4D surprise is already well known to magicians as it's in fact an adaptation of the famous "Lubor lense" already used in the Twister routine, but this time the lens was staged in completely new way and the result is just perfect. 4-D Surprise will be part of the best trick in the history of the firm. We have finally a trick ready to pick up the slack of the bestseller "Crystal Clever" released in 1993. 4-D surprise is everything you expect from Tenyo: an ingenious mechanism, a cute design and an effect totally incomprehensible and stunning. You'll  take a lot of fun to perform 4-D Surprise to your friends, your colleagues or your family, and seeing the audience let out a wooooow!

Well aware of having a new Best Seller, Tenyo has thought of everything in every detail to make this magic trick perfect and memorable. In the box you'll find everything to make the basic routine. Tenyo thought to provide an extra base so you can make appear a second item of your choice or simply substitute the statue of liberty provided in the box and adapt the routine to your mood or your audience depending on the circumstances. But that's not all because Tenyo thought to offer the possibility of changing the background color of the removable wall so that the illusion is perfect, no matter the color of the item you have chosen to make appear. In fact you can really customize your 4-D Surprise to suit your needs.  Besides, I invite you to watch the video below to understand the possibilities offered by these modifications. 4-D Surprise is really perfect and well thought, and the only negative point is that the transparent box is really fragile because it's made of a thin flexible plastic sheet folded and attached to the frame. So you have to be extremely careful if you do not want scratches appear in the see through box .

4-D surprise is a must have and if you are going to buy only one of the new Tenyo 2011 line, 4-D Surprise must be that one. It's one of the “most-fooling” tricks we have ever seen and i hope that Tenyo will surprise us again in the future with plenty of other awesome tricks like that, even if that means they have to use external creators like Lubor Fiedler.

Une boite transparente est posé sur une plateforme vide et les spectateur peuvent clairement voir à travers car on distingue les lignes horizontales imprimées sur la façade placée derrière la boite. Pas doute il n'y a rien d'autre qu'une boite vide. L'arrière plan de la plateforme avec les lignes horizontales est soulevé et montrée des deux cotés et on voit le t-shirt du magicien à travers la boite transparente prouvant une fois de plus qu'elle est bien vide. Pourtant quand la boite transparente est soulevé une petite statue de la liberté apparait sur le socle, sortie de nul part.

Review:

La première chose qui me vient a l'esprit concernant 4D surprise c'est un soupir de soulagement ! En effet après une année 2010 pas très convainquante et une année 2009 vraiment moyenne il était temps que la firme japonaise se reprenne en main et sorte enfin un effet qui marque les magiciens, comme Tenyo a su si souvent le faire dans le passé. Pourtant c'est une victoire en demi teinte car ce fabuleux tour ne viens pas des ingénieurs de Tenyo, mais d'un autre magicien bien connu, Lubor Fiedler, qui deja par le passé a collaboré avec l'entreprise en créant des tours toujours très novateurs comme "Impossible Pen", "Antigravity Rock" ou encore le génial "Invisible Zone".

Le matériel utilisé dans 4D surprise est bien connu des magiciens car il s'agit en fait d'une adaptation de la fameuse "Lubor lense" utilisée dans la routine Twister. Mais cette fois ci la lentille a été mise en scène de manière totalement inédite et autant vous dire que le résultat est si parfait qu'il fera date dans l'histoire de la firme. Nous avons la un tour innovant prêt a prendre la relève du Best seller "Crystal Clever" sorti en 1993 (il est temps me direz vous...). 4-D surprise est donc tout ce qu'on attend tous de Tenyo: un ingénieux mécanisme, un design mignon et un effet totalement incompréhensible pour qui n'est pas dans le secret. Vous prendrez donc beaucoup de plaisir à présenter 4-D Suprise à vos amis, vos collègues ou votre famille. Et vous en prendrez encore plus en voyant les spectateurs laisser échapper un wow! de stupéfaction.

Bien conscient de tenir la un Best Seller en puissance, Tenyo a penser à tout dans les moindres détails pour rendre ce tour parfait et mémorable. Dans le boite vous trouverez le matériel pour présenter la routine classique, mais en plus Tenyo a pensé a fournir un deuxième socle pour que vous puissiez faire apparaitre un second objet de votre choix ou simplement remplacer la statue de la liberté fournie dans la boite. Vous pourrez de ce fait adapter la routine à votre humeur ou à votre public au gré des circonstances. Mais ce n'est pas tout puisque Tenyo a aussi pensé à laisser la possibilité de changer la couleur des rayures du fond amovible pour que l'illusion soit parfaite avec n'importe que couleur d'objet que vous aurez choisi de faire apparaitre. Vous pourrez donc personnaliser votre 4-D Surprise au niveau de sa couleur mais aussi de l'objet utilisé. D'ailleurs je vous invite a regarder la vidéo ci dessous pour bien comprendre les possibilités offertes par ces petits détails.

4-D Surprise est donc une totale réussite à tout les niveaux, le seul petit point négatif est le fait que la boite transparente est vraiment fragile car elle est composée de feuilles de plastique souples pliées et attachées à l'armature et autant vous dire que le transport risque d'être compliqué et que les rayures ne manquerons pas d'apparaitre si vous n'êtes pas extrêmement soigneux. 4-D surprise est un Must have, un des meilleurs tour de toute la collection et on espère que Tenyo saura nous surprendre encore dans le futur avec des créations de ce calibre même si, quand l'inspiration leurs fait défaut, ils doivent s'ouvrir et s'associer à d'autres magicien qui ne font pas parti de l'entreprise.

It's designed to hold all your stuff: money, credit cards, license, etc. You can use the Tenyo ATM wallet to change a one dollar bill into a five dollar bill! This handkerchief can make appearing, disappearing, restoration, changing items.

This is a new trick that uses a Café Coupon book. You can perform two routines in which the Magician can guess the item chosen by a spectator among a dozen meals. The first effect named "Magical Café" allows to guess a single item and the second effect named "Psychic Coupon" allows to guess three items wich are freely selected by spectator. Fake food samples appear prevalently in the windows and display cases of food-serving establishments throughout Japan. Once made from wax, today they are usually made out of plastic.The plastic models are mostly handmade from vinyl chloride and carefully sculpted to look like the actual dishes.The models are custom-tailored to restaurants and even common items such as ramen will be modified to match each establishment's food. During the molding process, the fake ingredients are often chopped up and combined in a manner similar to actual cooking. The craftsmanship has been raised to an art form. Japanese plastic food by the Maizuru Company was exhibited at London's Victoria and Albert Museum in 1980. Regular competitions are held in making fake food dishes out of plastic and other materials. The food displays are called sampuru (サンプル?), derived from the English word "sample". The plastic food manufacturers fiercely guard their trade secrets as business is lucrative; the plastic food industry in Japan, by conservative estimates, has revenues of billions of yen per year. A single restaurant may order a complete menu of plastic items costing over a million yen. Au Japon, les restaurants donnent du relief à leur menu. Pas besoin de carte à l’entrée car le menu est disponible sous vos yeux en vitrine. Les restaurateurs exposent des représentations en plastique des plats qu'ils proposent. Les plats sont tellement soignés que l’on pourrait presque s’y méprendre.  Dans les années 20, un restaurateur de Tokyo eut la riche idée d'exposer des moulages de ses plats dans un présentoir de verre. Le succès fut immédiat. D'autres commerçants lui emboitèrent le pas et firent le succès de ces mets postiches, fabriqués alors en cire, remplacés depuis par la silicone et le plastique. Les restaurateurs envoient leurs plats les plus spécifiques directement au fabricant. Celui-ci réalise alors un moulage de chaque ingrédient qui sont ensuite peints à la main.  Par exemple des "ramens" (nouilles Japonaise) peuvent êtres modifiées au niveau des couleurs et de l'aspect pour coller parfaitement au produit vendu dans le restaurant pour lequel ils sont destinés. Il existe d'ailleurs de nombreuses compétitions qui ont pour but de reproduire le plus précisément possible des plats en utilisant du plastique ou d'autres matériaux.
