A gradual and visual miraculous restoration of a cut-up playing card ! Lubor Fiedler is renowned as one of the most ingenious and brilliant minds in magic. He has created countless miraculous tricks. His latest release is possibly the most visual and unbelievable to date. Tenyo is proud to collaborate with Lubor to make his latest creation available to magicians worldwide. A playing card that has been clearly cut into four pieces is displayed. By covering your hand over you will cause the pieces to rejoin into a single card. Piece by piece the card restores itself ! Parts of the card are always in view during the restoration, and at the end you can hand the fully-restored card to your spectators for thorough examination!

Development story: 

Once production was completed, Tenyo sent to Lubor Fiedler a copy of the final version of his creation. Sometime later Toru Suzuki, who was in charge of the project, the adaptation and production of Card Surgery (God Hand in Japan) received a letter of thanks on wich Lubor expressed his surprise and gratitude for the wonderful work done by Tenyo, indicating that the final result far exceeded anything he could have imagined in terms of quality and he was EXTREMELY proud of the result. This successful collaboration seems to have boiling the creative mind of Lubor and  Tenyo is already working to develop a brand new trick that will be released next year in the new 2014 line.

Review:

Lubor Fiedler gives us again a visual miracle and a new creation right out of his brilliant mind. However there is no revolution here, magicians use this kind of stuff for decades, but here the design is successful and the illusion is perfect. I really like the overall design of the trick, with the use of this small dish similar to transparent Petri dish used by scientists. When the props is set up, the illusion of a card cut into 4 is perfect, and even if you look closely it is impossible to distinguish any trick and there is nothing suspicious. The black plate is made of very good quality plastic, although it quickly catches fingerprints, and the visual effect when the card is restored is just stunning.

The second part of the gimmick is a bit more tricky to handle, and I'm not sure it is the most practical solution which have been adopted by Tenyo. But despite all the gimmick works perfectly and it's that's what matters. Follow the instructions, use a black scarf to cover the cup at the beginning and present Card Surgery as an experience. I suggest you to train yourself to find the ideal movement in order to makes everything goes smoothly. I've already seen on internet too much videos where the performance is not that great when the hands are on the cup and where you immediately guess that something strange is happening . It really spoils the illusion. It is extremely important that your hands pass over the cup without stopping, all this must take place in a single continuous movement. I suggest you withdraw your last two fingers once made significant movement and then pass two outstretched finger on the intersections of cards as if they are restored only at this time. Practice again and again to find the most natural possible movement if you want to honor the creation of Lubor Fiedler. Do not forget that this is primarily a visual trick. Staging and how to perform it are very important.  To finish, remember it is quite possible, with some preparation, to replace the supplied card and use your own cards if the 6 of heart does not suit you or if you find more fun to use a King or an Ace or any any other card. To conclude Card Surgery is a fun magic trick and impressive visual experience.

Tips: 

It is possible to create fun routines using special gaffed cards. Why not restore a card with three "6 of heart"parts and one part with" 6 of spades"? Or reverse one of the corners to create a truly unique card. Everything is possible and once again your only limit is your imagination.

Une carte, clairement coupée en 4 morceaux, est présentée à l’intérieur d'un plateau. En passant simplement vos mains au dessus, la carte va se restaurer à vue et l'un après l'autre, tous les morceaux vont se ressouder pour ne plus former qu'une seule et unique carte. Un spectateur peut même poser son doigt sur un morceau de carte pendant toute la routine et pourtant les 4 bouts de carte ne formeront qu'un à la fin, prouvant qu'il n'y a eu aucun échange possible. A la fin, la carte est donnée au spectateur et il pourra examiner tout le matériel sans le moindre risque.

Histoire du développement : 

Une fois la production terminée, Tenyo a envoyé à Lubor Fiedler un exemplaire de la version finalisée de sa création. Quelque temps plus tard, Toru Suzuki, qui était en charge du projet, de l'adaptation et de la production de Card Surgery, a reçu une lettre de remerciement dans laquelle Lubor exprimait toute sa surprise et sa gratitude concernant le superbe travail effectué par Tenyo, indiquant que le résultat final dépassait de loin tout ce qu'il avait pu imaginer en terme de qualité et qu'il était extrêmement fier du résultat.  Cette collaboration réussie semble avoir mis en ébullition l'esprit créatif de Lubor et Tenyo travaille déjà à développer avec lui un nouveau tour qui sera commercialisé dès l'année prochaine dans la nouvelle collection 2014.

Review : 

Lubor Fiedler nous offre une nouvelle fois un petit miracle visuel et une nouvelle création dont lui seul a le secret. Il n'y a pourtant aucune révolution ici, les magiciens utilisent ce genre de truc depuis des décennies, mais ici la mise en œuvre est réussie et l'illusion est parfaite. J'aime beaucoup le design général du tour, avec l'utilisation de cette petite coupelle transparente semblable aux boites de pétri qu'utilisent les chercheurs. Lorsque tout le matériel est mis en place, l'illusion d'une carte coupée en 4 est parfaite et même en y regardant de très près, il est impossible de distinguer le moindre trucage. Le fond noir plastifié est de très bonne qualité, bien qu'il accroche très vite les traces de doigt, et le rendu visuel, lorsque la carte est raccommodée, est bluffant. La deuxième partie du gimmick quant à elle est un peu plus artisanale dans son utilisation, et je ne suis pas certain que ça soit la solution la plus pratique qui ai été retenue par Tenyo. Malgré tout, le gimmick fonctionne parfaitement et c'est l'essentiel. Suivez bien les instructions, utilisez un foulard noir pour couvrir la coupelle au début et présentez Card Surgery comme une expérience. Je vous conseille de bien vous entrainer afin de trouver le mouvement idéal pour que tout se passe de manière fluide. J'ai déjà vu sur internet trop de vidéos où la présentation laisse à désirer au moment où les mains sont posées sur la coupelle et où on devine immédiatement qu'il se passe quelque chose de bizarre. Cela gâche vraiment l'illusion. Il est extrêmement important que vos mains passent au dessus de la coupelle sans marquer d’arrêt, tout doit se dérouler en un seul et unique mouvement continu. Je vous conseille de replier vos deux derniers doigts une fois le mouvement important effectué et d'ensuite passer les deux doigts tendus sur les intersections des cartes, comme si elles se reconstituaient seulement à ce moment là. Entrainez vous longuement afin de trouver le mouvement le plus naturel possible et ainsi faire honneur à la création de Lubor Fiedler. N'oubliez pas que c'est avant tout un tour visuel, la mise en scène et la manière de le présenter sont donc très importantes. Sachez pour finir qu'il est tout à fait possible de remplacer la carte fournie et d'utiliser vos propres cartes si le 6 de cœur ne vous convient pas ou si vous trouvez plus amusant d'utiliser un Roi ou un As ou n'importe quelle autre carte. Pour conclure, Card Surgery  (appelé "God Hand", "La main de Dieu"au Japon) est une expérience aussi amusante qu’impressionnante dont le succès sera à la mesure de votre investissement pour la dompter et la sublimer.

Astuce : 

Il est possible d'inventer des routines amusantes en utilisant des cartes spéciales. Pourquoi ne pas raccommoder une carte avec trois parties "6 de cœur "et une partie "6 piques" par exemple, ou alors retourner un des coins afin de créer une carte vraiment unique. Tout est possible et une fois de plus votre seule limite sera votre imagination.

The idea of using a pencil and erase separations on the playing card is really interesting. The interaction with the audience is also more advanced. This trick is very visual and will surprise your spectators when they see it. The tower of dice looks like a holder with room for 4 dice and a lid for this. You take off the lid, and retrieves 4 dice out of the tube and and stack them neatly on the table. You then put the lid to one side, and show that the original holder fits exactly over the stack of dice, with (apparently) no room for any more by putting the holder on the stack. With a magical gesture, When you put the holder over the dice stack a second time, when you lift the tube, the stack of dice keeps growing and growing, until there are eight dice (a twice as high stack) standing in a tall tower, and the spectators can check that these are real dice. Tower of Dice is an amazing visual effect. Your audience will doubt their own eyes when they see the tower of dice continue to grow! A surprising gimmick built into the tube makes this startling effect possible. Best of all, all props can be completely examined right after the performance.

This trick looks great in the Tenyo YouTube video, and the gimmick was not what I had imagined. My first impression is: it felt a little inconvenient holding things the way you are supposed and getting rid of the one secret thing you cannot show to the spectators may be a little tricky in some situations and that this will require practice to get it all to flow smoothly but it sure is cool to be able to produce an extra set of 4 dice with that container. However with a little practice, this should not be very difficult to perform, I think. Your angles are fairly good. Tower of Dice is not a new concept there by any means... But, the illusion is quite good and while you are not clean at the end, you can also, after one clean up move, hand the holder and lid to the spectators. It has a bit of noise when the dice appear on the box but like Crystal Cleaver or Dragon Altar or Crystal Pyramid, that's just the sound of magic! It's not too bad anyway. Another thing I like about this is that once you initially set up the gimmick, you can put the whole unit in your pocket and perform it anytime...without any dice falling out.

This is another unique Tenyo design many will enjoy... clever, tactile, visual, nicely designed, quick and straightforward, it ends up making a cool little illusion. It's one of the reasons I think many people enjoy what they produce. Tenyo fans will like this one. I also think it's a trick working magicians may find will work for table hopping, impromptu, close up, etc. The workers out there will have no issue with the work to end up clean. In addition Tenyo had the good sense to adopt for this trick a simple and classy design that fits all.

I must also add that I personally love tricks using dice. Something about their sound, their feel, the familiarity they have to an audience, the fact that many times they get used for something other than their numbers alone (like dice stacking or Mikame's Tiny Dice Vase). So Tower of Dice is something I will enjoy practicing and performing, and I am happy I got one! To finish the first return of the community of magicians are extremely positive and this trick seems to be unanimous, well beyond the hard core fan of the Japanese brand.

Ce tour est extremement visuel et il surpendra à coup sûr vos spectateurs. Le magicien présente une petite boite au public. Il l'ouvre et en sort 4 petits dés à jouer. Les 4 dés sont empilés afin de faire une tour et ils sont recouverts par le tube un bref instant. Le tube ne peux contenir que 4 dés à jouer car sa taille correspond exactement à la taille que font les 4 dés empilés. Pourtant la boite est ensuite soulevéee lentement pour faire apparaitre les 4 dés empilés et au fur et à mesure, on découvre que le nombre de dés a augmenté, ils se sont multipliés et la tour est maintenant constituée de 8 dés !! Comment 8 dés à jouer peuvent - ils sortie d'une boite qui ne peux en contenir que 4? c'est tout le mystère de ce tour très visuel et vous pouvez laisser les dés et la boite au spectateurs pour un examen approfondi sans le moindre risque que le secret soit découvert. Vos spectateurs douterons de leurs propres yeux quand ils verront la tour de dés grandir encore et encore au fur et à mesure que vous soulevez la boite. Un ingénieux gimmik permet de rendre cet effet possible et vous pourrez le présenter à tout moment de manière impromptue.

Tower of Dice est plutot impressionnant lorsqu'on regarde la vidéo de présentation sur Youtube, et le gimmick n'est pas exactement ce que j'avais imaginé. Ma première impression est que la présentation de l'effet peut paraitre un peu délicate à première vue car il faut bien faire attention lorsque vous tenez le matériel lors de la performance et il faut aussi être discret à la fin de l'effet afin de pouvoir terminer la routine proprement. Dans certaines situations il est clair que cela sera un peu compliqué et vous devrez vous entrainer avant afin que le "jour J" toute la routine se déroule de manière fluide et sans fausse note. Quoi qu'il arrive, pouvoir produire un deuxième set de 4 dés avec ce matériel est vraiment génial et très impressionnant et avec un peu d'entrainement je pense que Tower of Dice ne devrait pas être trop difficile à maitriser. Il faudra tout de même faire attention aux angles de vue de votre public car ce tour ne peux pas être présenté facilement si vous êtes complétement entouré de spectateurs. Sachez tout de même que Tower of Dice n'est pas un concept révolutionnaire mais il est efficace malgré tout. L' l'illusion est vraiment bonne et même si vous n'êtes pas réellement "clean" à la fin de la représentation vous pourrez si vous en avez envie, apres une petite manipulation, laisser la boite aux spectateurs pour qu'ils l'examinent, ce qui est un plus non négligeable. L' autre petit point négatif est que, comme d'autres tours de chez Tenyo, il y a quelques bruits suspects lorsque les dés apparaissent dans le tube; mais comme pour Crystal Clever, Dragon Altar, ou Crystal Pyramid, nous allons dire que cela est juste le bruit de la magie et ce n'est pas si grave après tout. Une autre chose à savoir et que j'apprecie est que une fois que vous avez préparé le matériel vous pourrez mettre l'ensemble dans votre poche afin de présenter le tour quand vous le voudrez... sans qu'aucun dé ne tombe ou ne s'echappe de la boite.

Tenyo a crée une nouvelle fois avec Tower of Dice un tour unique et de qualité que les magiciens apprécierons... Intelligent, visuel, tactile, bien conçu, simple mais efficace, en un mot une petite illusion vraiment surprenante et cool. C'est pour toutes ces raisons que je pense que beaucoup de gens à travers le monde apprecient les productions de la marque Japonaise et les fans de Tenyo vont sans aucun doute aimer ce nouvel effet. Je pense d'ailleur que même les magiciens professionnels pourront y trouver leur compte car ce tour peut être présenté de table en table, en close-up ou de manière impromptue sans problème, et ils n'auront aucune difficulté avec la petite manipulation finale. De plus, Tenyo a eu la bonne idée d'adopter un design simple et classe qui conviendra à tous.

Pour finir, je tiens à dire que j'ai toujours aimé personnellement les effets qui mettent en scène des dés à jouer. D'une part pour le son si reconnaissable qu'ils font lorsqu'on les manipule, les sensations qu'ils procurent au toucher, mais aussi le fait que c'est un objet facilement identifiable par le public. J'aime aussi le fait que la plupart du temps ils sont utilisés en magie pour autre chose que simplement le nombre qu'ils indiquent (comme Dice staking ou Mikame's Tiny Dice vase). Au final Tower of Dice est un effet que je prendrais plaisir à partager et à présenter et je vous conseil cet achat. Sachez pour finir que les premier retour de la communauté des magiciens sont extrêmement positif et cet effet semble faire l'unanimité bien au delà du noyau dur de fan de la marque Japonaise.

A play mat in green cloth is presented, it's a miniature version of those that were found at the casino when playing roulette. On one side there is the drawing of roulette with various playing cards drawn above and the other side there is the part that is usually used to bet money in which we find all the playing cards available in the roulette. You suggest to the viewer to play a game similar to roulette at the casino but here the ball is replaced by a small disk on which various numbers are listed. You ask the spectator to secretly choose any playing card as a starting point on the roulette wheel. Now you ask the spectator to take the disk and secretly choose one of the numbers that are printed above and then place the disk in the center of the roulette by aligning the number he has chosen with the "starting point" that it has chosen on the wheel at first. You explain that you know neither the card nor the number chosen by the spectator and there are dozens of different combinations possible. Yet you place a coin on the table betting as your prediction and you ask the spectator to move clockwise around the wheel the number equal to the number he has chosen on the disk. Now you ask the spectator tell you wich card they stopped on. Finally you lift the coin, so that your spectator can see that the card they landed on matches the card under the coin. The magician was right and if you were in Casino, and you had the hability to predict the number before the ball has stopped, you could win a lot of money! Unfortunately is not magician who wants!

Un tapis de jeu en tissu vert est présenté, version miniature de ceux que l'on trouve au casino lorsqu'on joue à la roulette. D'un coté il y a le dessin de la roulette et ses cases qui représentent diverses cartes à jouer et de l'autre la partie qui sert habituellement à miser avec un tableau dans lequel on retrouve toutes les cartes disponibles sur la roulette. Vous proposez au spectateur de jouer à un jeu similaire à celui de la roulette du casino mais ici la balle est remplacée par un petit disque sur lequel divers nombres sont inscrits. Vous demandez au spectateur de choisir secrètement un point de départ sur la roulette, il choisit donc une des cartes à jouer dessinée dessus. Maintenant, vous demandez au spectateur de prendre le disque et de choisir mentalement un des nombres qui sont imprimés dessus puis de placer le disque au centre de la roulette en alignant le nombre sélectionné avec la carte "point de départ" qu'il a choisi sur la roulette au début. Vous faites remarquer que vous ne connaissez ni la carte, ni le nombre choisi par le spectateur et qu'il y a des dizaines de combinaisons différentes possibles. Pourtant, vous placez une pièce de monnaie sur la table de pari qui représente votre prédiction. Maintenant, il est demandé au spectateur de partir de sa carte de départ et d'avancer du nombre de cases indiqué par le nombre qu'il a choisi sur le disque, dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre, autour de la roulette. Vous demandez alors au spectateur sur quelle carte il s'est arrêté. Vous désignez alors la pièce de monnaie, votre prédiction, et demandez au spectateur de regarder en dessous. La carte sur laquelle le spectateur s'est finalement arrêté est la même que celle qu'il y a sous la pièce de monnaie. Le magicien a vu juste et si comme lui vous étiez capable, au casino, de prédire à la roulette le nombre gagnant avant que la boule s'arrête vous pourriez gagner beaucoup d'argent! Hélas n'est pas magicien qui veut!

A spectator chooses a card and places it back in the deck. Deck is divided into 4 stacks of cards. A small light bulb is shown and placed inside a handkerchief. The handkerchief is lowered on top of each stacks of card and the bulb lights to one of the stacks, the top card is turned over to reveal the chosen card. Magician claims that this light bulb is connected with an invisible cord. Scissors are taken out and cuts the invisible cord, turning off the light.
This is an absolutely incredible way to locate a spectator's chosen card! The eery feeling of the bulb illuminating in the spectator's own hands is as commercial an effect as you could ever hope to achieve. Of course, when you cut the invisible wire with your scissors and the light goes out, your audience will be totally blown away! The Tenyo Ghost Lamp is great for trade shows and can be adapted for living and dead tests, jewelry, more. Long unobtainable, this is a visual, mysterious, really sensational effect! This masterpiece of magic, made famous by magic creator Scotty York, is now available through our World's Greatest Magic series. Included in this set are: a light bulb, a trick deck of cards and a special gimmick you can use for added impact.

I really like Tenyo's Ghost Lamp, as the mechanism used seems to work flawlessly and the light bulb is fairly bright and easy to see. This appears to emulate more of a mini bulb with a large base and a plastic housing. Some may complain that this bulb looks more like a toy bulb, but I found a perfect "Tungsram" 40 watt G16.5 bulb box from Ikea (small white base) that looks like a perfect place to house this bulb and disguise it's true magical pedigree. The light bulb responded without fail in my testing it, and the batteries within the bulb are 2 standard CR1220 cells and should be easy to change out. The bulb itself is fairly examinable.

The cards supplied are the "Streamline" branded poker playing cards - they look and feel quite good, and they say they are made by the U.S. Playing card company. If you are a little DIY you'll have no trouble adapting the gimmick to the Bicycle card or other one. The quality of the main gimmick also seems rock solid, and the instructions make it fairly easy to pick up the routine in short order. As many know this effect was a creation of the talented Scotty York, and the instructions even include his alternate handling which involves 3 stacks of cards and some cute and humerous touches which some my want to use.

 This is certainly one of the best that Tenyo has put out in some time, and the electronics and thought that went into this effect have created a trick that is nearly self working and would a be fun at any dinner party. The Scotty York Lamp is one of the true classics of magic. If you have always wanted one, but just didn’t have $200 to spend, this is your lucky day!

L'ampoule est d'ailleurs assez bien construite pour être laissée à l'examen rapide du public.

Les cartes incluses dans la boite sont des cartes à jouer de Poker de la marque "Streamline", elles sont très jolies et sont agréables à manipuler. Il d'ailleurs est indiqué qu'elles sont fabriquées par la U.S. Playing card company ce qui est gage de bonne qualité. Si vous êtes un peu bricoleur vous n'aurez aucun mal à adapter le gimmick à des cartes Bicycle ou à votre marque de carte favorite. Comme toujours chez Tenyo, un soin tout particulier a été porté à la rédaction de la notice d'utilisation qui est très bien expliquées avec de nombreux dessins qui vous guiderons pas à pas et vous pourrez présenter la routine aussitôt le matériel en main. Comme beaucoup le savent déjà cet effet est une création du talentueux magicien Scotty York et la notice du tour inclue également sa routine personnelle toute en finesse avec une touche humoristique intéressante qui ne manquera pas de vous surprendre.

Ghost Lamp fait donc partie des meilleurs effets que Tenyo à produit ces dernières années, tout a été parfaitement pensé et maitrisé pour offrir un tour de bonne qualité qui soit complet, jolie, automatique et il est certain que vous prendrez beaucoup de plaisir à présenter.

This Disney version has a routine very similar to "Ghost Lamp". 9 cards representative of the Disney characters are presented to the spectators who chose one at random. The selected card is returned to the deck that is cut and mixed so no one can know where she is. Now the 9 cards are placed on the table the one beside the other. Then a Mickey Mouse figurine is placed on the first card. Nothing happens. It then continues with the following cards and suddenly the figure glows intensely! The card is returned and that is exactly the one that was chosen in secret by the viewer. Mickey Mouse is shining only on the chosen card.

Cette version Disney reprend un effet très similaire à celui de Ghost Lamp. 9 cartes représentant des personnages Disneys sont présentées aux spectateurs qui en choisi une au hasard. La carte choisie est remise dans le paquet qui est coupé et mélangé afin que personne ne puisse savoir ou elle se trouve. On pose alors les cartes les une à coté des autres sur la table. Ensuite une figurine représentant Mickey est présentée et elle est posée sur la première cartes. Rien ne se passe. On recommence alors avec les cartes suivantes et soudainement la figurine se met à briller intensément ! The first thing that comes to mind with 4D surprise is a kind of relief because after two bad years  it was time for Tenyo to finally creates a killer effect which marks the minds as they do so often in the past. However it's a semi victory because this fabulous magic trick doesn't come from Tenyo engineers but from another well known magician, Lubor Fiedler, who already worked with Tenyo in the past, creating innovative effects such as "Impossible Pen","Antigravity Rock"and the brilliant "Invisible Zone".

The special props used in 4D surprise is already well known to magicians as it's in fact an adaptation of the famous "Lubor lense" already used in the Twister routine, but this time the lens was staged in completely new way and the result is just perfect. 4-D Surprise will be part of the best trick in the history of the firm. It's one of the “most-fooling” tricks we have ever seen and i hope that Tenyo will surprise us again in the future with plenty of other awesome tricks like that, even if that means they have to use external creators like Lubor Fiedler.

Une boite transparente est posé sur une plateforme vide et les spectateur peuvent clairement voir à travers car on distingue les lignes horizontales imprimées sur la façade placée derrière la boite. Pas doute il n'y a rien d'autre qu'une boite vide. L'arrière plan de la plateforme avec les lignes horizontales est soulevé et montrée des deux cotés et on voit le t-shirt du magicien à travers la boite transparente prouvant une fois de plus qu'elle est bien vide. La première chose qui me vient a l'esprit concernant 4D surprise c'est un soupir de soulagement ! En effet après une année 2010 pas très convainquante et une année 2009 vraiment moyenne il était temps que la firme japonaise se reprenne en main et sorte enfin un effet qui marque les magiciens, comme Tenyo a su si souvent le faire dans le passé. Pourtant c'est une victoire en demi teinte car ce fabuleux tour ne viens pas des ingénieurs de Tenyo, mais d'un autre magicien bien connu, Lubor Fiedler, qui deja par le passé a collaboré avec l'entreprise en créant des tours toujours très novateurs comme "Impossible Pen", "Antigravity Rock" ou encore le génial "Invisible Zone".

Le matériel utilisé dans 4D surprise est bien connu des magiciens car il s'agit en fait d'une adaptation de la fameuse "Lubor lense" utilisée dans la routine Twister. Mais cette fois ci la lentille a été mise en scène de manière totalement inédite et autant vous dire que le résultat est si parfait qu'il fera date dans l'histoire de la firme. Nous avons la un tour innovant prêt a prendre la relève du Best seller "Crystal Clever" sorti en 1993 (il est temps me direz vous...). 4-D surprise est donc tout ce qu'on attend tous de Tenyo: un ingénieux mécanisme, un design mignon et un effet totalement incompréhensible pour qui n'est pas dans le secret. Vous prendrez donc beaucoup de plaisir à présenter 4-D Suprise à vos amis, vos collègues ou votre famille. Et vous en prendrez encore plus en voyant les spectateurs laisser échapper un wow! de stupéfaction.

Bien conscient de tenir la un Best Seller en puissance, Tenyo a penser à tout dans les moindres détails pour rendre ce tour parfait et mémorable. Dans le boite vous trouverez le matériel pour présenter la routine classique, mais en plus Tenyo a pensé a fournir un deuxième socle pour que vous puissiez faire apparaitre un second objet de votre choix ou simplement remplacer la statue de la liberté fournie dans la boite. Vous pourrez de ce fait adapter la routine à votre humeur ou à votre public au gré des circonstances. Mais ce n'est pas tout puisque Tenyo a aussi pensé à laisser la possibilité de changer la couleur des rayures du fond amovible pour que l'illusion soit parfaite avec n'importe que couleur d'objet que vous aurez choisi de faire apparaitre. Vous pourrez donc personnaliser votre 4-D Surprise au niveau de sa couleur mais aussi de l'objet utilisé. D'ailleurs je vous invite a regarder la vidéo ci dessous pour bien comprendre les possibilités offertes par ces petits détails.

4-D Surprise est donc une totale réussite à tout les niveaux, le seul petit point négatif est le fait que la boite transparente est vraiment fragile car elle est composée de feuilles de plastique souples pliées et attachées à l'armature et autant vous dire que le transport risque d'être compliqué et que les rayures ne manquerons pas d'apparaitre si vous n'êtes pas extrêmement soigneux. 4-D surprise est un Must have, un des meilleurs tour de toute la collection et on espère que Tenyo saura nous surprendre encore dans le futur avec des créations de ce calibre même si, quand l'inspiration leurs fait défaut, ils doivent s'ouvrir et s'associer à d'autres magicien qui ne font pas parti de l'entreprise.

Floating Card has exceeded my expectations in terms of ease of presentation and strong visual impact. Unlike other versions, you do not have to tilt the game to run the gimmick and you can keep it horizontal during the entire presentation which, incidentally, is very easy. So you're clean from beginning to end, and you can show the deck of cards from all sides without any risk. In addition the ability to remove the card which is just below the levitating playing card is the highlight strong point of this effect because most of the time it is impossible with conventional versions. Do not underestimate this effect: it is very good. It was developed by Angelo Carbone, and that alone should be enough to convince you to add to your repertoire.

Tips from Xl18 on Magic Café Forum:

Magician puts the deck in the spectator's hand and then holds the spectator's hand from below "to keep it steady". He then makes the card float while the spectator is holding the deck.
What I like about doing it this way is that it appears the the magician is not touching the deck at all when the card starts floating. Also since the spectators hand is being held in front of them it is very difficult for them to bend down and peek under the floating card which was to me always the biggest problem with the trick.

About creator:

Angelo Carbone is a creative guy who invents magic whether big scale illusions or small close up effects. His widely copied "Out of Order" card trick has been a world wide success. Also, "Notion of Motion" - his any called for card rise is receiving much praise from the magic world.
Angelo is also well known for its amazing collection of Tenyo tricks and this is probably why he wanted to invent effects which might interest them. He then sent a videotape on which he had filmed his creations and the team was so impressed that Tenyo delegation took advantage of a magical trip to a convention in Europe to travel to London and meet him in person. Angelo Carbone then presented to the Tenyo team its prototypes and five of his creations were chosen. Mini-Morphosis was one of them and through this he was the first Englishman to have a trick produced by the Tenyo Company. Subsequently Angelo Carbone has even created a website dedicated to the Japanese firm. In 2009 his effect "Floating card" was his third creation edited by Tenyo after the sublime Prison Box and the ingenious Mini-Morphosis.

La carte est alors placée face en haut sur le paquet, et comme par magie elle se met à flotter lentement vers le haut ! Review:
Floating Card a dépassé toutes mes attentes en termes de facilité de présentation et de force d'impact visuel. Contrairement à d'autres versions, vous n'avez pas à incliner le jeu, pour faire fonctionner le gimmick et vous pourrez le maintenir à l'horizontale durant toute la présentation qui, par ailleurs, est très facile. Vous êtes donc clean du début à la fin, et vous pouvez montrer le jeu de carte de tout les cotés sans aucun risque. De plus le fait de pouvoir retirer la carte qui est juste en dessous de celle qui lévite est le gros point fort ce cet effet car la plupart du temps cela est impossible avec les versions classiques. Ne sous-estimez pas cette routine: elle est puissante et convaincante. Ce tour a été mis au point par Angelo Carbone, et cela seul devrait suffire à vous convaincre de l'ajouter à votre répertoire.

Dans cette version le magicien met le paquet de carte directement dans les mains du spectateur puis il tiens les mains du spectateur par le dessous afin qu'elles restent bien en place. Puis il fait léviter la carte pendant que le spectateur tiens lui même le paquet. Ce que j'aime avec cette manière de faire c'est qu'il apparait que le magicien ne touche jamais le paquet de cartes quand la carte choisie se met à léviter. De plus, comme les mains du spectateur sont devant lui il peux difficilement se baisser ou se pencher pour regarder ce qui se passe sous la carte et cela permet de régler ce qui est pour moi le plus gros point faible de ce tour.

Concernant le créateur:
Angelo Carbone est un jeune homme créatif qui invente des tour de magie, que ce soit des tours de close-up ou des illusions plus classiques, son imagination n'a pas de limite. Son très copié tour de carte "Out of Order" à été un succès mondial. De plus, son tour "Notion of Motion", a reçu beaucoup d'éloges du monde de la magie. Angelo est en outre bien connu pour son incroyable collection de tours Tenyo et c'est surement pour cette raison qu'il a eu envie d'inventer des effets qui pourraient les intéresser. Show a picture frame to your audience. The picture in the frame is an illustration of Pinocchio. When you make a magical gesture, Pinocchio's nose visibly grows longer, and then shrinks back to its original size. When you remove the picture at the end of your performance, there is only one picture inside the frame, and it is examinable by your audience. They will be unable to find anything unusual with the illustration, even though they saw it altered in front of their eyes.
This effect is both humorous and surprising, and captures your audience right away with the familiar character of Pinocchio. You explain that his nose grows every time he tells a lie, and as you are talking the nose visually grows longer. Your audience will be suspicious of the picture, so they are doubly shocked when you remove the picture from the frame, and allow them to confirm that it is nothing more than a single sheet of printed paper.

Review:
I'm not sure why but I love this trick although the design is very childish. Actually I think what pleases me is the fact of putting the viewer on a false trail so he thought he understood the trick to surprise him at the end of the performance showing him he was wrong. The effects using this kind of method like "Twister" or "Moons of Jupiter" are always fun to perform because you know in advance that you will surprise the audience at the end and thus to enhance the mystery. The trick itself is very clever because it consists of two gimmick that work together to make a complete and smart routine keeping the audience in the dark at each step from beginning to end and you can also offer this so magical drawing as a souvenir to your audience. Finally it is noted that Tenyo was probably inspired by "Floating Lady" in the design of Animation Frame because there are some common mechanisms in both tricks.

Montrer à votre public un cadre à photo. L'image dans le cadre est une illustration de Pinocchio. Lorsque vous faites un geste magique, le nez de Pinocchio devient visiblement plus long, puis il reprend sa taille d'origine. Lorsque vous retirez l'image à la fin de votre performance, il n'y a qu'une simple photo tout à fait normale à l'intérieur du cadre, et elle est examinable par votre auditoire. Ils seront incapables de trouver quelque chose d'inhabituel même si elle s'est modifiées directement devant leurs yeux pendant le tour !
Cet effet est à la fois drôle et surprenant, et captera l'attention de votre public tout de suite grâce au personnage familier de Pinocchio. Votre public sera suspect et il imaginera que l'image ou le cadre est truquée, ils seront donc doublement choqué quand vous retirerez l'image du cadre, leur permettant de l'examiner et de confirmer que cette photo de Pinocchio n'est rien de plus qu'une simple feuille de papier imprimé.

Je ne sais pas trop pourquoi mais j'aime beaucoup ce tour bien que son design soit très enfantin. En fait je pense que ce qui me plait c'est le fait de mettre le spectateur sur une fausse piste afin qu'il pense avoir compris le truc, pour après le surprendre en lui montrant qu'il s'est totalement trompé. Les tours fessant appel à ce genre de méthode comme celui ci mais aussi "Twister"ou "Moons of Jupiter" sont toujours agréables à présenter car vous savez d'avance que vous allez surprendre le public à la fin et ainsi renforcer le mystère. Le truc en lui même est très ingénieux car il est composé de deux astuces complémentaires qui permettent de faire une routine complète et intelligente du début à la fin et vous pourrez en plus laisser ce dessin si magique en souvenir à un spectateur. Pour finir il est à noter que Tenyo s'est surement inspiré de "Floating Lady" lors de la conception d'Animation Frame car on retrouve certains mécanismes communs aux deux tours.

Trivia:

There are two different versions of this trick. The first depicts a character like Pinocchio, while the second actually uses the real image of the famous puppet. The explanation is that Tenyo has obtained the rights for use of the Disney character only for Japan but not for the rest of the world. Nothing very surprising because this kind of negotiation is usually done country by country. Tenyo then creates a second version especially dedicated to the West. We also note that the packaging is different between the two versions. Indeed on the first version, the magic is visible behind a transparent blister while on the other it is simply packed in a cardboard box.

Anecdotes:
Il existe deux versions différentes de ce tour. La première met en scène un personnage ressemblant à Pinocchio, tandis que la deuxième utilise réellement l'image du célèbre pantin. La raison de l'existence de ces deux modèles est que Tenyo à obtenu les droits pour une utilisation d'un personnage de Disney uniquement pour le  Japon mais pas pour le reste du Monde. Rien de très étonnant car ce genre de négociation se fait pays par pays généralement. Tenyo a alors crée une deuxième version spécialement dédiée à l'occident. On remarque aussi que le packaging n'est pas le même entre les deux versions et que sur l'une le matériel est visible sous un blister la ou sur la deuxième il est simplement emballé dans une boite en carton.
