Show a picture frame to your audience. The picture in the frame is an illustration of Pinocchio. When you make a magical gesture, Pinocchio's nose visibly grows longer, and then shrinks back to its original size. When you remove the picture at the end of your performance, there is only one picture inside the frame, and it is examinable by your audience. They will be unable to find anything unusual with the illustration, even though they saw it altered in front of their eyes.
This effect is both humorous and surprising, and captures your audience right away with the familiar character of Pinocchio. You explain that his nose grows every time he tells a lie, and as you are talking the nose visually grows longer. Your audience will be suspicious of the picture, so they are doubly shocked when you remove the picture from the frame, and allow them to confirm that it is nothing more than a single sheet of printed paper.

Review:
I'm not sure why but I love this trick although the design is very childish. Actually I think what pleases me is the fact of putting the viewer on a false trail so he thought he understood the trick to surprise him at the end of the performance showing him he was wrong. The effects using this kind of method like "Twister" or "Moons of Jupiter" are always fun to perform because you know in advance that you will surprise the audience at the end and thus to enhance the mystery. The trick itself is very clever because it consists of two gimmick that work together to make a complete and smart routine keeping the audience in the dark at each step from beginning to end and you can also offer this so magical drawing as a souvenir to your audience. Finally it is noted that Tenyo was probably inspired by "Floating Lady" in the design of Animation Frame because there are some common mechanisms in both tricks.

Montrer à votre public un cadre à photo. L'image dans le cadre est une illustration de Pinocchio. Lorsque vous faites un geste magique, le nez de Pinocchio devient visiblement plus long, puis il reprend sa taille d'origine. Lorsque vous retirez l'image à la fin de votre performance, il n'y a qu'une simple photo tout à fait normale à l'intérieur du cadre, et elle est examinable par votre auditoire. Ils seront incapables de trouver quelque chose d'inhabituel même si elle s'est modifiées directement devant leurs yeux pendant le tour !
Cet effet est à la fois drôle et surprenant, et captera l'attention de votre public tout de suite grâce au personnage familier de Pinocchio. Vous expliquez que son nez s'allonge à chaque fois qu'il raconte un mensonge, et pendant que vous parlez, son nez devient visuellement plus long. Votre public sera suspect et il imaginera que l'image ou le cadre est truquée, ils seront donc doublement choqué quand vous retirerez l'image du cadre, leur permettant de l'examiner et de confirmer que cette photo de Pinocchio n'est rien de plus qu'une simple feuille de papier imprimé.

Review:
Je ne sais pas trop pourquoi mais j'aime beaucoup ce tour bien que son design soit très enfantin. En fait je pense que ce qui me plait c'est le fait de mettre le spectateur sur une fausse piste afin qu'il pense avoir compris le truc, pour après le surprendre en lui montrant qu'il s'est totalement trompé. Les tours fessant appel à ce genre de méthode comme celui ci mais aussi "Twister"ou "Moons of Jupiter" sont toujours agréables à présenter car vous savez d'avance que vous allez surprendre le public à la fin et ainsi renforcer le mystère. Le truc en lui même est très ingénieux car il est composé de deux astuces complémentaires qui permettent de faire une routine complète et intelligente du début à la fin et vous pourrez en plus laisser ce dessin si magique en souvenir à un spectateur. Pour finir il est à noter que Tenyo s'est surement inspiré de "Floating Lady" lors de la conception d'Animation Frame car on retrouve certains mécanismes communs aux deux tours.

Trivia:

There are two different versions of this trick. The first depicts a character like Pinocchio, while the second actually uses the real image of the famous puppet. The explanation is that Tenyo has obtained the rights for use of the Disney character only for Japan but not for the rest of the world. Nothing very surprising because this kind of negotiation is usually done country by country. Tenyo then creates a second version especially dedicated to the West. We also note that the packaging is different between the two versions. Indeed on the first version, the magic is visible behind a transparent blister while on the other it is simply packed in a cardboard box.

Anecdotes:
Il existe deux versions différentes de ce tour. La première met en scène un personnage ressemblant à Pinocchio, tandis que la deuxième utilise réellement l'image du célèbre pantin. La raison de l'existence de ces deux modèles est que Tenyo à obtenu les droits pour une utilisation d'un personnage de Disney uniquement pour le  Japon mais pas pour le reste du Monde. Rien de très étonnant car ce genre de négociation se fait pays par pays généralement. Tenyo a alors crée une deuxième version spécialement dédiée à l'occident. On remarque aussi que le packaging n'est pas le même entre les deux versions et que sur l'une le matériel est visible sous un blister la ou sur la deuxième il est simplement emballé dans une boite en carton.

The magician displays a special picture book. He shows that the book contains many colourful pictures of Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck. The famous Disney characters are surrounded by pictures of lots of colourful candies. The magician closes the book and tell the children that books give them magical powers. Books can make their wishes appear right before their eyes, if they concentrate. As the children concentrate, real live candies suddenly begin to spill out and it's a real candies shower out from inside the picture book! The book is opened again and the pages are flicked through, the Disney characters are still there but all of the pictured sweets have disappeared! This trick is sold only in Japan and The Magic Candy Book exist in regular and Jumbo Size. There are also many versions without the candy where the white pages are printed as if by magic.

Le magicien présente un livre très spécial aux enfants. Il feuillette le livre et on découvre qu'il contient de nombreux dessins représentant Mickey, Donald et Minnie.Les fameux personnages Disney sont entourés par des dessins de dizaines de bonbons et friandises multicolores. Le magicien ferme le livre et explique aux enfant que ce livre va leur donner des pouvoirs magiques et qu'il va pouvoir faire que leurs vœux se réalisent juste devant leurs yeux si ils se concentrent tous ensemble. Pendant que les enfant s’exécutent, de vrais bonbons commencent soudainement à tomber de l'intérieur du livre et c'est une véritable cascade de bonbons qui maintenant tombent sur la table par dizaines. Le vivre est ouvert à nouveau et les pages sont feuilletés une à une et on découvre que les personnages sont toujours la mais que les dessins de bonbons ont disparu ! Ce tour de magie est vendu seulement au Japon et le livre existe en version standard et en version Jumbo. Il existe également de nombreuses versions sans les bonbons ou des pages blanches s'impriment comme par magie.

The magician twists a string of beads together to create a toy poodle. This poodle is wrapped inside of a handkerchief. To everyone's surprise, they can hear the dog barking! At the end of the trick, the magician puts the dog away in his pocket. The barking continues to come from within his pocket.
This new trick is based on the concept of sound. Think how surprised everyone will be when they hear a cute beaded poodle start barking! You can also draw a picture of a dog on a sheet of paper, and wrap the illustration inside of the handkerchief. Even that dog will bark, to everyone's delight.
This unique trick is both comical and mysterious. You'll be surprised at the clever secret. You appear to be using completely normal, ungimmicked props, so they will be doubly surprised when they hear the toy dog's voice.

Development story:
The idea of twisting beads into a dog has been around since the 1940's. Although the originator is unknow, the concept is based on balloon animal dogs that are twisted in the same manner. Daniel Cros, a professional magician in Las Vegas, used the beaded poodle in magic for the first time. He combined loose beads whit a lenght of string, and magically created a chain of beads. Then he twisted the chain into a poodle and made the poodle bark. British magician Gee Mahabia recently created a completely different method for making a beaded dog bark, enabling the magician to show both hands empty. We at Tenyo added the handkerchief, and the dog drawing to Mahabia's gimmick, making this a fun and entertaining routine that you will love to perform.

A l'aide d'une chaînette de perles, le magicien fabrique un petit chien, un peu à la manière des sculpteurs de ballons. L'animal est ensuite emprisonné dans les plis d'un foulard. A la surprise générale, on peut entendre les aboiements du petit chien... A la fin de la présentation, le magicien place le chien dans sa poche et on l'entend toujours aboyer dans la poche ! Un spectateur peut également dessiner un chien et placer le dessin sous le foulard, on l'entendra également aboyer. Vous l'aurez compris, cet effet tient plus du gag que du véritable tour de magie. Le tour est livré avec 2 chainettes de rechanges, un foulard blanc et le gimmick.

Histoire du développement:
L'idée de créer un chien grâce des perles est apparu dans les années 1940. Même si les origines de ce tour son inconnues, le concept est basé sur les animaux crée grâce à des long ballons que l'ont tord dans tout les sens pour finalement faire apparaitre l'animal désiré. Daniel Cros, un magicien professionnel à Las Vegas utilisa des Caniches crée avec des perles pour la première fois. Il combina des perles avec un bout de ficelle pour créer un caniche et le faire aboyer comme par magie. Le magicien Anglais Gee Mahabia a récemment crée une méthode complètement différente pour faire aboyer un Caniche de perle, permettant au magicien de montrer ses deux mains vides. Tenyo à ajouté au gimmick crée par Mahabia le foulard et l'idée du chien dessiné sur un papier, fessant de ce tour de magie une routine joyeuse et rigolote que vous prendrez beaucoup de plaisir à présenter.

A real CD is presented to the audience who can examine it and sign it. The CD is now inserted into a large envelope. The magician then takes the envelope in front of him, he shakes the envelope, and you hear the CD that moves to the inside. The envelope is now folded in half. So far nothing very surprising because the envelope is very large, but the magician folds the envelope again in two, again and again, until it becomes minuscule to the size of a small square. The CD has shrunken and you even see its shape through the envelope. The envelope is then unfolded and the CD came out, he returned to its original size and it's the CD signed at the beginning that you can now offer as a souvenir to the spectator.

Review: 
CD Compression (which was also released under the title "Fadeout" at a different time) is an original creation of Tomoyuki Shimomura  and that is why his name is mentioned as the inventor of this routine. This is a rather rare because generally magic tricks sold by Tenyo outside the main collection are frequently adapations or import of existing tricks. "CD Compression" is an interesting effects for all collectors who are interested by the career and creations of Tomoyuki Shimomura. Reading the description one can imagine a lot of possibilities to explain how the routine works and the solution found by Tomoyuki Shimomura is far from what I had imagined. The routine uses several interesting and complementary gimmick and the result is really clean once you mastered the sequence.

By cons CD Compression is far from automatic and "easy to do" tricks that Tenyo usually offers and it's typically an effect reserved to magicians who work and like to train seriously. It is possible to perform this trick in close-up, but it's probably easier to perform this magic on stage or parlor. You can let the audience examine or even sign the CD, there is no change, and it's the same CD that out of the envelope at the end. By cons The rest of the props can't be examined. Well mastered and well presented, CD Compression is an interesting effect that will remain unexplainable to the public. It is of course possible to perform this routine with other effects using a Cd. For example you can start by introducing T-138 The Devil Disk with CD on which you put your own signature. Then you can now use the same CD by presenting "The CD" while adding the signature of your spectator. At the end you can offer this truly magical CD with both signature as a souvenir.

Un CD est présenté aux spectateurs qui peuvent l' examiner et le signer si besoin. Le CD est ensuite inséré dans une grande enveloppe. Le magicien tient alors l'enveloppe à bout de bras, la secoue, on entend le CD qui bouge à l’intérieur, puis l'enveloppe est pliée en deux. Jusque là rien de très étonnant car l'enveloppe est très grande, mais le magicien plie à nouveau l'enveloppe en deux, et recommence encore, jusqu'à ce qu'elle soit minuscule et ne fasse plus que la taille d'un petit carré. Le CD a rétréci et on voit même sa forme à travers l'enveloppe. L'enveloppe est ensuite dépliée et le CD est ressorti, il a repris sa taille originale et c'est bien le CD signé au début que vous offrez en souvenir au spectateur.

Review: 
CD Compression (qui a aussi été commercialisé sous le nom de Fadeout à différentes périodes) est une création originale de Tomoyuki Shimomura, c'est pour cette raison que son nom est cité en tant qu 'inventeur de cette routine. C'est une chose plutôt rare car en général les tours de magie vendus par Tenyo en  dehors de la collection principale sont souvent des adapations ou des importations de tours existants. CD Compresion est donc un effet intéressant pour tous les collectionneurs qui s'intéressent au parcour et aux créations de Tomoyuki Shimomura.  En lisant la description, on peut imaginer tout un tas de possibilités permettant d'expliquer comment fonctionne la routine et la solution trouvée par Tomoyuki Shimomura est bien loin de tout ce que j'avais pu imaginer. La routine utilise plusieurs gimmick assez intéressants et complémentaires et le résultat est vraiment clean une fois l'enchainement maitrisé.

Par contre CD Compression est bien loin des tours automatiques et "easy to do" que propose habituellement Tenyo, c'est typiquement un effet réservé aux magiciens, à ceux qui travaillent et aiment s'entraîner sérieusement. Il est sûrement possible de présenter ce tour en Close-up, mais l'idéal est sûrement de le présenter sur scène et c'est dans cette configuration qu'il sera le plus facile à maitriser.  Vous pouvez laisser les spectateurs examiner ou même signer le CD et c'est bien celui qui est inséré au début dans l'enveloppe qui en ressort à la fin. Le reste du matériel ne peut par contre pas être examiné. Bien maitrisé et bien présenté, CD Compression est un effet intéressant qui restera inexplicable pour le public. Il est bien sûr possible de faire cette routine en même temps que d'autres effets utilisant un CD.  Vous pourrez par exemple commencer par présenter T-138 The Devil Disk avec un CD sur lequel vous aurez mis votre  propre signature. Puis vous pourrez ensuite utiliser le même CD en présentant la routine de CD Compression tout en faisant ajouter la signature du spectateur à la votre. A la fin, vous pourrez offrir en souvenir au spectateur ce CD vraiment magique avec vos deux signatures.

Lubor's Ashtray is a mind-boggling transformation! The magician lights a cigarette, but realizes he has nothing to deposit the ashes. The magician pulls out of his pocket a silver plastic disc and banged on the table to prove it is solid. The magician explains that the disc is made of a magic substance and he need only think of an object to materialize. The disc is covered with a cloth. The magician concentrates, count to three and gives one claps at the center of the disc and when the cloth is removed, the disc has become an ashtray! The magician now know what to do with his ashes...

Trivia:
Thanks to Richard Kaufman,who has done lots of research on Tenyo and is currently writing a book about the Japanese company (more info here), we've learned that Lubor's Ashtray is not a Tenyo product. It was made and sold by Eddy's Magic in Hong Kong. Tenyo merely purchased a few and sold them in Japan (as they do with lot of others tricks). It should not be considered part of Tenyo's line.

Lubor's Ashtray est un effet de transformation assez incroyable et intriguant! Le magicien allume une cigarette mais se rend compte qu'il n'a rien pour y déposer les cendres. Il sort alors une sorte de gros palet en plastique qui ressemble à ceux que l'ont trouve au Hockey et le cogne sur la table à différents endroits pour bien prouver sa solidité. Le magicien explique que ce palet est fait d'un matière magique et qu'il lui suffit de penser à un objet pour qu'il se matérialise comme par magie. Le palet est alors recouvert avec un foulard. La magicien se concentre, compte jusqu'à trois et donne une tape au centre du palet. Quand le foulard est retiré le publique découvre qu'il s'est transformé en cendrier, le magicien sait maintenant quoi faire de sa cendre.

Anecdote:
Grâce aux informations récoltées par Richard Kaufman qui est en train d'ecrire un livre sur Tenyo ( plus d'infos ici), on découvre que Lubor's Ashtray n'est pas rellement un tour Tenyo. En fait cet effet a été fabriqué et vendu par Eddy's magic à Hong Kong et Tenyo a simplement acheté quelques exemplaires afin de les vendre au Japon (comme il le font pour de nombreux tours de magie). Il ne peut donc pas etre considéré comme un tour faisant partie de collection Tenyo car dans ce cas précis Tenyo revend simplement un objet fabriqué par une autre compagnie.

You push a borrowed quarter against the sword. The quarter is cut into two pieces! When you squeeze the two halves together, they visibly restore into a single coin. The coin may be borrowed, and it is not hidden from view or switched at any time!

Development story :

This concept was originally going to be applied to a Piggy bank idea. A small sword was located near the opening of the Piggy bank, and when a coin was dropped into the box through this opening, the coin would appear to be cut in two by the blade. However, it was not possible to complete because the gimmick was impractical to be used for a Piggy bank. We eventually reworked the effect so that it could be incorporated into a different magic trick. By adding some magic-related touches, we were able to make it appear that one coin is sliced in two, and then restored to a single coin.

Une pièce de monnaie empruntée est poussée contre la lame d'une petite épée. Alors qu'on pensait que la pièce serait coupée en deux, elle se dédouble et ce sont deux pièces identiques qui tombent séparément dans la boîte, de chaque côté de l'épée. Le tout peut être montré sous tous les angles. Lorsque le magicien prend les deux pièces, ils les rassemble pour reformer une seule pièce. La pièce empruntée, n'est jamais cachée ou échangée et tout se fait sous les yeux des spectateurs... A la base ce tour devait être un tirelire, finalement Tenyo à décidé de l'éditer dans sa collection de magie. l'idée aurait pu être bonne si seulement les matériaux et la finition de tour n'avait pas été aussi médiocre. En gros vous ne pourrez jamais le présenter car vous le casserez en moins de deux minutes. A évitez à mois de vouloir compléter sa collection.

Histoire du développement :
Ce concept était à l'origine destiné a devenir une tirelire. Une petite épée était placée à l'entrée de la tirelire, et quand une pièce était glissée à l'intérieure par l'entrée cela donnait l'impression qu'elle était coupé en deux par l'épée. Hélas il n'a pas été possible de finir cette idée car le mécanisme n'était pas adapté à une tirelire. Nous avons finalement décider de retravailler le concept afin de l'incorporer dans un autre tour de magie. En ajoutant quelques idées nous avons été capable de faire en sorte que la pièce de monnaie soit dédoublé en deux pièces grâce à l'épée puis restauré en une seule pièce à la fin de la routine.

A card stand, covered whit cloth, is placed on top of your fingers. you insert a card into the opening in the card stand, and cut straight through your fingers. The card is removed, and your grab your fingertips whit you other hand. You thenproceed to lift all four fingers up and away from you hand! In this shocking effect, you cut off all four of your finger. you real hand is clearly visible on both sides of the cloth, and the amazing sight will surprise you. this is a unique gimmick which has never appeared before. You will enjoy preforming this effect.

Review:
Basically I was not very convinced by this trick... but the very first time I have performed Bioshock this was a real shock to my audience and they absolutly loved it. As stated in the instruction, the magician who do this trick can not really realize the impact on the audience and it was true. Nevertheless it will be necessary to train a lot in front of a mirror in order to control the movements perfectly like in the video below. BioShock is something different, a curiosity imagined by Kenichi Komiya wich is a really good surprise! A trick to buy before it becomes difficult to find.

Development story:

Anybody who has learned even a little about magic probably knows the old 'removing the thumb' trick, in which you apparently pull off the tip of your thumb using your other hand. That trick doesn't require any special gaffs, as it relies solely on the structure of human fingers. There have been numerous magic effects that use body parts, such as fingers, arms and legs, to produce impossible demonstrations of manipulation. Shinko Nagisa's "Twisting Arm Illusion," in which the magician twists his hand 360 degrees at the wrist, is one example of this type of magic. By adding a small gimmick, more effects become possible that are even more amazing. One well-known example of this is Kevin James' disembodied hand illusion in which a severed hand moves as if it were alive. Another example is Steve Fearson's sensational routine in which he visually cuts his own body in half. "Bio Shock" is a close-up magic trick that falls into this same category. In this shocking effect, the magician appears to cut off, and visually remove his fingers.

Trivia:
There are at least two different versions of Bioshock available where the fabric color of the cloth is either gray or beige.

Un support recouvert d'un tissu est placé sur le dessus de vos doigts, votre main paume vers le haut. Vous insérez une carte dans une ouverture pratiquée dans le support... Vous semblez couper vos doigts ! La carte est retirée et vous agrippez l'extrémité de vos doigts avec votre autre main. C'est alors que vous soulevez vos quatre doigts coupés, ils sont complètement désolidarisé de votre main et vous les baladés de haut en bas, droite à gauche ! Dans cet effet surprenant, votre vraie main est clairement visible de chaque côté du tissu !

Review:
A la base je n'étais pas très convaincu par cet effet, et pourtant la première fois que je l'ai présenté ce fut un véritable choc pour mon public et ils ont adoré. Comme précisé dans la notice celui qui fait le tour ne peux pas se rendre compte de l'impact et c'était vrai. Malgré tout il faudra vraiment vous entrainer correctement devant un miroir afin de maitriser parfaitement les mouvements si vous voulez que le résultat soit digne de la vidéo ci dessous. Bioshock est quelque chose de différent, une curiosité tout droit sortie de l'imagination débordante de créativité de Kenichi Komiya et au final c'est une bonne surprise ! Un tour à acheter avant qu'il devienne véritablement difficile à trouver.

Histoire du développement :
Tout ceux qui ont fait des recherches et ont appris sur la magie connaissent probablement le vieux tour du "pouce découpé" dans lequel vous faites semblant de prendre un bout de votre pouce et de le soulever en utilisant la moitié d'un pouce d'une main et l'autre moitié de l'autre en cachant la séparation avec votre index. Pour faire ce truc vous n'avez besoin d'aucun matériel spécial car il fonctionne uniquement grâce à la structure des doigts de votre main. Il y a eu de nombreux effets qui utilisent des parties du corps, comme un doigt, une jambe ou encore un bras dans le but de faire des démonstrations impossibles grâce à la manipulation. L'effet "Twisting Arm Illusion" de "Shinko Nagisa" dans lequel le magicien pose sa main par terre et la fait tourner à 360 degrés est encore un exemple de ce type d'effets. En ajoutant en plus un truc, un petit objet ou un mécanisme, beaucoup d'effets deviennent possibles et sont encore plus incroyables. Un très bon exemple est l'illusion de "Kevin Jame" ou il coupe sa main et celle ci devient vivante et avance en marchant grâce à ses doigts. Un autre exemple est la routine sensationnelle de "Steve Fearson"dans laquelle il coupe visiblement son corps en deux parties. Bioshock de Tenyo est un tour qui rentre dans cette catégorie d'illusion car dans cet effet le magicien coupe et enlève visiblement ses doigts de sa main provoquant un véritable choc aux spectateurs.

Anecdote:
Il existe au moins deux versions différentes de BioShock disponibles. Dans la première la couleur du tissu est grise tandis que dans la seconde il est beige.

The PHANTOM CLOCK (originally marketed in Japan under the name Shock Clock) displays an illusion which has puzzled even expert magicians! The Phantom Clock is not just a clock. Encore une illusion incroyable made in Lubor Fiedler. The Phantom Clock (appelé shockclock au Japon) n'est pas qu'une simple horloge, c'est une illusion magique à elle toute seule. Vous vivrez une expérience surprenante qui vous enchantera à chaque mouvement du pendule. Une main fantôme semble tenir une carte à jouer qui lévite en plein milieu de l'horloge. La dame de cœur est en fait suspendue dans l'espace et le pendule, qui balance derrière la carte de droite à gauche, prouve que rien ne peux maintenir la carte par l'arrière. Here is a set of Tenyo magic tricks Extremely rare and hard to find nowadays. In 1998 Tenyo is associated with the "McDonald's" company to provide three magics using the Happy Meal Menu theme. These tricks have been available on stores for the Japanese childrens and thus become true collectors items for all Tenyo's fans. The set consists of three packages, one of them contains three differents tricks. It should be noted that these tricks have a full cardboard packaging printed in color with props visible behind a blister with a description of the effect written on the back of the packaging. The whole is extremely neat and props are very good qualities.

-The first trick ("Cubio Big-Mac") is a very pretty version of the famous Cubio created in 1960 by Tenyo with a Big Mac instead of the little Cube. Design of the Big Mac is very detailed and good plastic quality. The trick itself is identical to the original version.

-The second effect ("French Fries Sponge") is an updated version of Sponge Balls routine using, in a very original way, littles sponge fries instead of foam balls. The magician shows a horn that looks like the one used to put the fries in Mac Donalds restaurants. This horn has two foam fries inside. The magician then takes in hand the two fries will then multiply that to make it appear 4 fries. Finally it is a number "4" foam will spring from the horn.

-The last gift is a package containing 3 mentalism effects. The first effect ("Menu Mentalism") will enable the magician to guess what food has been secretly chosen by a spectator. In the second trick ("Rising Card") the magician has six cards representing the burgers sold at McDonald's and asks the viewer to choose one at random and then put the card back in the deck. The deck of cards will then be inserted into a Pouche representing a magic hat which exceeds a magic wand. After a magical gesture, the magic wand is then drawn up and only the chosen card will come out of the hat. The final effects ("Milkshake prediction") consists of a straw and a cardboard card in which holes are drilled. The magician asks the spectator to choose numbers and the straw is then inserted into the hole selected by the viewer. When the card is returned, the audience discovers a picture of a milkshake and straw is inserted into the only hole for drinking the milkshake !

Voici un ensemble de tours Tenyo extrêmement rare et difficile à trouver de nos jours. En 1998 Tenyo c'est associé avec Mac Donald's afin d'offrir trois tours de magie sur le theme du Happy Meal. Ces tours ont donc été disponibles sen boutique pour les enfants Japonais et sont donc devenu de vrai collectors pour tout les fans de Tenyo. Le set se compose donc de 3 tours dont un contient trois effets différents. Il est à noter que ces tours bénéficient d'un packaging complet en carton imprimé en couleur avec le tour visible sous un blister et qu'une description des effets est écrite au dos de l'emballage. L'ensemble est donc extrêmement soignée avec du matériel de qualités.

-Le premier tour ("Cubio Big-Mac") est un version très jolie du fameux effet Cubio crée en 1960 par Tenyo avec un Big-mac à la place du petit Cube. Le Design du Big Mac est vraiment très détaillé et de bonne qualité. Le tour en lui même est identique à la version originale.

-Le deuxième effet ( "Sponge French Fries") est une version revisitée du tour Sponge Balls utilisant de manière très originale des frites en mousse à la place des balles. Le magicien montre un cornet qui ressemble à celui qui sert à mettre les frites dans les restaurants. Ce cornet contient deux frites en mousse. Il les prend alors dans la main et ces deux frites vont alors se multiplier pour en faire apparaitre 4. Pour finir c'est un chiffre "4" en mousse qui va jaillir du cornet.

-Le dernier cadeau est un pack contenant 3 effets de mentalisme. Le premier effet ("Menu mentalism") permettra au magicien de deviner quel aliment du restaurant aura été choisi secrètement par un spectateur. Dans le deuxième tour ("Rising card") le magicien présente 6 cartes représentant les hamburgers vendu chez Mac Donalds et il demande au spectateur d'en choisir une au hasard puis de remettre la carte dans le paquet. Le paquet va alors être inséré dans un étui représentant un chapeau magique duquel dépasse une baguette magique. Âpres une formule magique la baguette est alors tirée vers le haut et seule la carte choisie en secret par le spectateur sortira du chapeau. Le dernier effets ("Milkshake prédiction") se compose d'une paille et d' une carte en carton dans laquelle sont percé des trous. Il est alors demandé au spectateur de choisir des nombres et la paille est alors insérée dans le trou choisi par le spectateur. Quand la carte est retournée on découvre un Milkshake et la paille est tombée dans le seul trou qui permet de le boire.

Tenyo's license characters has led to the release of many magic tricks. All of the Tenyo license agreements for these types of item are only valid for Japan, so none of them can be sold and found in the rest of the World.

This is a wonderful 'puppet' effect where the magician holds a stuffed bunny which appears to have a life of it's own. Several effects with this wonderful prop are suggested in the instructions including "card in carrot." Even if you don't use this item for a magic act, it's a wonderful collectible item and also a great prop for puppeteers.

The rabbit itself looks very nice and is of superb quality (the seams are hardly visible and very strong). When you use the rabbit as the manual sais it really does look like it is alive - very well done by Tenyo. I always thought that the deck that came with it would be a stripper deck, a one-way-deck or even an invisible deck or something ... but boy was I wrong! The deck is gimmicked of course but gimmicked in a very special way - I haven't seen this kind of deck anyweher (and I have A LOT of gimmicked decks). The gimmicked part is well done and because 'Clyde' performs the trick it will NOT be seen by your specators - I can't say anymore (oh and yes, you can use this deck by yourself too without Clyde - an excellent way to force a card in my opinion) ... excellent and inventive thinking of Toru Suzuki, the creator of this effect. The manual also come with another routine 'Card In Carrot' which uses a normal deck (not included) and is also baffling and easy to do.
The only criticism I have is the deck not being Bicycle, which makes it 'akward' when you first do the standard routine and then the Card In Carrot trick, I would have prefered that both card decks would be the same, that would be less suspicious. But apart from that I really recommend this trick to every collector. Anyway, this trick goes straight into my 'top ten' of alltime favourite Tenyo effects. Perhaps not the most inventive trick, but the quality is superb and the deck of cards is a real fooler.

Demandez à un spectateur de sélectionner une carte, de la mémoriser, et de la replacer dans le paquet de cartes. Traditionnellement, c'est le moment où le magicien essaye de retrouver la carte... Mais pas cette fois! À sa place, Clyde va la retrouver. Qui est Clyde? C'est le plus grand, le plus adorable, le plus incroyable lapin magicien ! La tête et les bras de Clyde bougent alors que les deux mains du magicien sont visibles et cela semble impossible! Et non seulement Clyde semble vivant, mais en plus il retrouve la bonne carte! La manipulation de cette marionnette demande un peu de pratique, mais l'effet en vaut la peine ! Le matériel comprend le lapin, un jeu de cartes et une paire de gants.

Le lapin, en plus d'être adorable, bénéficie d'une qualité de fabrication remarquable (les coutures sont à peine visibles tout en étant très solides). Lorsque vous utilisez le lapin de la manière indiquée dans la notice il est surprenant de voir à quel point ses mouvements sont réalistes, en fait il parait presque vivant. Tenyo a clairement fait du bon travail avec cet accessoire. J'ai toujours cru que le jeu de cartes qui est fourni avec le lapin était un jeu truqué banal du style Stipper Deck, à l'utilisation limitée voir même un jeu 'invisible' ou quelque chose de ce genre... Mais non ! je m'étais complément trompé ! Le jeu est truqué bien sûr mais il l'est d'une manière très spéciale et vraiment inattendue. En fait je n'ai tout simplement jamais vu nul part ce genre de jeu de cartes (et j'ai pourtant des dizaines de jeu de cartes truqués dans mes tiroirs). Le gimmick est donc très ingénieux et comme au final c'est "Clyde" qui présente le tour il restera complétement invisible pour vos spectateurs. Je ne peux pas en dire plus sans révéler le secret mais sachez que vous pourrez bien sûr utiliser ce jeu de cartes spécial pour d'autres routines sans le lapin et je pense que c'est une excellente alternative lorsque vous avez besoin de forcer une carte. Encore une excellente idée, très inventive, tout droit sortie de l'esprit de Toru Suzuki le créateur de cet effet. La notice explique aussi comment présenter une seconde routine "Card in Carrot" qui utilise un jeu de cartes normal (non fourni) qui est tout aussi impressionnant et très facile à faire.
La seule critique que je pourrais formuler concerne le fait que le jeu de cartes n'est pas de la marque Bicycle et lorsque vous présentez d'autres tours de cartes les spectateurs peuvent être suspicieux en voyant que vous prenez un jeu différent. De plus quand vous enchainez les deux routines proposées par Tenyo vous devez utiliser deux jeux de cartes différents et il aurait été plus commode de pouvoir utiliser le même afin d'écarter tout doute de trucage. Malgré ce petit détail je ne peux que recommander ce tour à tous les collectionneurs. Au final Clyde Magic Rabbit va directement dans mon Top 10 des tours Tenyo que je préfère. Ce n'est peut être pas le tour le plus inventif mécaniquement parlant mais la qualité du matériel est superbe et le jeu de cartes est réellement incroyable.

This is Tenyo’s variation of an old effect whereby a rabbit puppet from a top hat seems to come alive and perform magic tricks.This is an updated version by Tenyo of the trick T-174 Clyde Magic rabbit whereby you uses the popular Disney cartoon character Winnie The Pooh instead of the usual white rabbit. The quality of this prop is unbelievable. A picture speaks a thousand words. Tenyo releases this some time ago and this is a newer version whereby you can appear to hold the top hat with BOTH gloved hands and still, you will be able to manipulate Winnie in whatever ways you like and it will seem to come alive! Use this as part of your ventriloquist routine, your next kids show or even your next adult show. The sight of Winnie The Pooh animating inside the top hat will bring the house down. And Winnie is able to perform magic tricks as well. You can do a close up linking rings routine with Winnie holding on to one ring and you link the other ring to his! I’ve seen this performed by a Japanese magician and it never fails to attract a big crowd!

C'est aussi en quelque sorte la version Disney du tour T-174 Clyde Magic Rabbit. Pour cette version destinée au parc Disneyland Tokyo, Tenyo a utilisé Winnie l'ourson, un personnage célèbre de Disney, pour remplacer le lapin. La qualité du matériel est très bonne comme vous pouvez le voir sur la photo, les finitions sont de qualités et l'adaptation est vraiment jolie. Tenyo a commercialisé ce tour il y a déjà quelques années et cette adaptation permet de faire croire aux spectateurs que vous tenez le chapeau des deux mains avec vos gants tandis que vous manipulez en secret la marionnette pour lui donner vie. Vous pourrez utiliser ce matériel dans votre routine de ventriloquie ou lors d'un spectacle pour grands et petits. La marionnette permet d'effectuer toute une palette de mouvements rendant sa manière de bouger très réaliste. Vous pourrez aussi faire faire des tours de magie à la marionnette comme par exemple présenter un effet de type Linking Ring avec Winnie qui tient un des anneaux. J'ai vu cet effet présenté par un magicien Japonais et le résultat était juste incroyable, l'impact sur les spectateurs tout simplement magique.
