Show two boxes to your audience, allowing them to see the inside of each. The boxes appear to be nothing more than an ordinary pair of empty boxes with sliding drawers. However... when you close the drawer of one box, the drawer from the other box mysteriously opens! To prove that there is no connection between the two boxes, you insert a playing card between them. The drawers still magically open and close as if by magic. For a surprising finish, the boxes are completely separated from each other, and they still move in sympathy with each other!

Development story:
Tenyo has received special permission from creator Bob Ostin to release his close-up magic masterpiece with a newly-designed gimmick that we developed. The more times you repeat this trick, the more baffling it becomes. Our new gimmick is cleverly hidden inside the construction of the boxes, so there is no need to hide anything in your hands, or remove at the end of the trick. The secret is extremely well camouflaged. You'll be delightfully surprised at where we've hidden the gimmick. And your audiences will be astounded by this baffling magic.

Trivia :

The illustrations representing the sun and moon on "Synchro Boxes" trick are exactly the same as those used on the trick "Sun and Moon tube". The drawings are exactly identical. That can be a good opportunity to find a routine using the two accessories together.

Vous montrez deux boîtes d'allumettes à vos spectateurs. Elles ont la taille et l’apparence de petites boîtes d’allumettes classiques et après avoir laissé voir l’intérieur au spectateurs, l’évidence s’impose : ce ne sont rien d’autres que des boîtes normales, avec un petit tiroir qui entre et sort de l’étui. Cet étui représente, pour l’une des boîtes, un soleil et, pour l’autre, une lune. Ces deux astres sont généralement opposés… et les forces naturelles qui les régissent fonctionnent également avec ces boîtes ! Quand vous placez les deux boîtes l’une contre l’autre et que vous fermez l’un des tiroirs, l’autre s’ouvre mystérieusement ! Pour prouver qu’il n’y a aucune connexion entre les boîtes, vous placez une carte à jouer entre elles. Les tiroirs continuent à s’ouvrir et se fermer comme par magie. La preuve n’était pas suffisante ? Pour un finale étonnant, les boîtes sont complètement séparées l’une de l’autre et continuent pourtant à s’ouvrir et à se fermer en parfaite synchronisation !

Histoire du developpement :
Ce tour ingénieux nous vient du magicien britannique Bob Ostin. Dans la version d’origine, un morceau de plastique devait être inséré entre deux boîtes d’allumettes et, à la fin du tour, le magicien devait le retirer discrètement pour le cacher dans ses mains. Tenyo a revisité le tour pour que le gimmick fasse partie intégrante de l’une des boîtes. Cela vous permet d’ouvrir librement les boîtes, sortir les tiroirs et montrer clairement que tout est ce qu’il semble être : des boîtes normales. Grâce à cette nouvelle version, plus rien à cacher ou à retirer à la fin du tour et vous pouvez faire examiner les boites par les spectateurs sans aucun risque.

Anecdote :

Les illustrations représentant le soleil et la lune de "Synchro Boxes" sont exactement les mêmes que celles utilisées sur le le tour "Sun and Moon Tube". Les dessins sont exactement identiques. Voila peut être une bonne occasion de chercher une routine utilisant les deux accessoires ensemble.

A matchbox is decorated on one side with a top hat, and on the reverse, a gift box tied with a ribbon. You explain that there is a dove inside the gift box. You remove a match and wave it like a magic wand. Suddenly, a dove figurine appears on top of the matchbox! When you show the picture of the gift box on the rear of the matchbox, its ribbon is now untied, and the gift box is empty.
This trick is perfect when someone asks you to produce a bird, on the spot. You can magically produce a cute dove figurine right in front of your audience's eyes. The clever secret hidden within the matchbox enables you to produce the figurine and transform the illustration simultaneously. You also receive a rabbit figurine, so you can choose which animal is most appropriate for your performance. 

About creator:

Tomoyuki Shimomura is our youngest staff member, having joined the development section in 1988. The three staff members already introduced here are "old generation", whereas Shimomura is very much of the "new generation". In 1989 he has produced a remarkable new product which reflect his youthful approach. He started as a talented performer, but he was also skilled as a technical writer due to his deep knowledge of magic. Since 1988 he has written all of our new product manuals for the Japanese market. In 1989 he is brushing up on his talents as an inventor, and we look forward to seeing his work. His forte is producing effects that are entertaining but which also have an interesting story line. With his knowledge of close-up magic, he was commissioned to write for An Introduction To Card Magic. He is a polished technical writer and therefore invaluable to Tenyo for the instruction sheets included with the products.Tomoyuki Shimomura creates lot of great effects like Ghost Pet, Mystery China Box, Bird Watcher, The Eye of the Idol, Crystal Pyramid, Moonspinner, Wild Wallet and many many more others Tenyo magic trick. Review:
For me, this Magician's Matchbox combines all the aspects that make you love Tenyo. This effect has a very beautiful design, sober and complex at the same time, it uses an object of everyday life, the idea is entirely original, the mechanism is simple but at the same time extremely clever and the viewer has no idea what will pass which increases even more surprised. Over here we have a two in one effect with firts the appearance of a dove that is already incredible, but also when the public imagines that the effect is finished he attends a second miracle with the change of drawing on the matchbox. It's a trick you can carry with you all the time, and smoking magician will be very proud to have in their pocket this beautiful little matchbox so pretty, so magic, so special. To be honest this trick is one of my favorite of all the collection and suggest you get it without hesitation before it becomes difficult to find.

Une boîte d'allumette est décoré d'un chapeau haut de forme sur l'un de ses côtés, et d'un cadeau fermé par un ruban sur l'autre côté. Vous sortez une allumette de la boîte et l'agitez comme une baguette magique. Soudainement, un figurine de colombe apparaît sur le dessus de la boîte ! Lorsque vous montrez à nouveau l'image du cadeau sur la boîte d'allumette, son ruban est maintenant détaché et... la boîte est vide ! Dans la boite vous trouverez deux figurine, une de colombe et une de lapin. Un très beau tour que j'affectionne tout particulièrement du fait de son design et aussi pour l'effet deux en un. C'est une fois de plus un tour que vous pourrez emmener partout avec vous et que vous n'hésiterez pas à présenter quand on vous demandera si vous avez du feu...

Concernant le créateur:
Tomoyuki Shimomura est le plus jeune membre de l'équipe Tenyo, il a rejoint la section de développement en 1988. Les 3 membres de l'équipe qui étaient déjà en place sont plutôt de la "vieille génération" alors que Shimomura est vraiment ancré dans la "nouvelle génération." En 1989 il a produit un effet remarquable qui reflète parfaitement sa vision pleine de fraicheur du monde de la magie. Il a commencé en tant que talentueux magicien mais il est aussi particulièrement efficace dans l'écriture de notion techniques grâce a sa grande connaissance de l'histoire de la magie. Pendant de nombreuses années il a rédigé toute les notices de nos nouvelle productions pour le marché japonais. En 1989 il a démontré ses capacités comme inventeur et il suffit de regarder ses production sorties depuis pour se rendre compte de son talent. Tomoyuki Shimomura a crée un grand nombre de superbes effets comme par exemple Ghost Pet, Mystery China Box, Bird Watcher, The Eye of the Idol, Crystal Pyramid, Moonspinner, Wild Wallet et de nombreux autres ... En 2012 et après 28ans de bons et loyaux services, Tomoyuki Shimomura à du quitter Tenyo pour reprendre l'entreprise de son père souffrant.

Review:
"Magician's Matchbox" est pour moi un concentré de ce que Tenyo fait de meilleur. Le tour bénéficie d'un design soigné et recherché, il utilise un objet de la vie de tout les jours, l'idée est totalement originale, le mécanisme est simple mais en même temps extrêmement ingénieux et le spectateur n'a aucune idée de ce qui va ce passer renforçant d'autant plus la surprise. De plus on a ici un effet deux en un avec d'un coté l' apparition d'une colombe qui est déjà incroyable mais en plus au moment ou le public imagine que l'effet est finit il assiste à un deuxième miracle avec la transformation du dessin sur la boite d'allumette. C'est un tour que vous pourrez emmener tout le temps avec vous, et les magicien fumeurs seront très fier d'avoir cette petite boite d'allumette si jolie et si spéciale avec eux. Pour être honnête ce tour fait parti de mes préféré de toute la collection et vous conseil donc de vous le procurer sans hésitation avant qu'il devienne difficile à trouver.

Carrying this match-box in your pocket, you can perform a very fantastic close-up effect. Three candles are printed on both sides of the matchbox. Pick out a match from the box, scratch it and bring the flame over the candles.
Strangely red flames appear and ignite on the candle.Then rub the box by hand and flames change colors and become blue, rubbing once again, and the flames changes to yellow. And at last, candles on both sides show flames whit three different colors. It is quite fantastic as the name of the trick. It's a very cool match box whit metal card element and everything can be examined.

Trivia:
This trick is numbered as T-62 on the official website of Tenyo. But as you can see below from the photo of the packaging , it is indicated T-53. In fact both numbers exist and there is package with number T-62.

Vous présentez une boîte d'allumettes dont le décor représente un chandelier à trois branches. Vous enflammez une allumette et la passez un instant sous la boîte... Des flammes jaunes apparaissent sur les chandelles des illustrations de la boîte. Ensuite, il suffit de passer votre main et de frotter la boîte pour que les flammes imprimées changent trois fois de couleur : tout d'abord rouges, puis bleues et enfin tricolores. La boîte peut être donnée pour examen !

Trivia:
Ce tour est numéroté en tant que T-62 Sur le site officiel de Tenyo. Pourtant comme vous pouvez le voir sur la photo de l'emballage ci dessous, il est bien indiqué T-53 dessus. En fait les deux existent et on retrouve le numéro T-62 sur certain emballages.

A coin is placed in the middle of three matches arranged in a triangle. A playing card covers everything to completely separate the coin and a match box is placed above all. You light a match, you walk the flame around the triangle and then playing card and matchebox are removed. Incredible: the coin has disappeared and there is nothing in the triangle. You'll find the coin in the matchbox few moments later. The trick comes with a spare aditional coin.

Review:
Astro-Coin is a nice surprise on several levels. First this trick comes with two copper coins engraved with the rabbit Tenyo logo on both sides. The matchbox is also special because beyond of its very pretty design she hides many secrets and a more elaborate mechanism than what I imagined. The matchbox is cardboard and has a totally natural look, but there is inside a hidden part made of carved wood that surrounds the mechanism. This is actually the first time I see a Tenyo trick using wood and so far I thought that only T-36 Billiard Balls had been manufactured with this material.
Regarding the routine here several things to know. After the disappearance, the playing card can be shown to all sides, no trace of the coin. Then the magician opens the matchbox and we discover that the coin is inside. The matchbox is closed and the magician can show all his side to prove that nothing is hidden. No palming, you are clean at the end of the routine. Finally Astro Coin is a classic of magic, he has been out for over 40 years now, and we can say that although the effect is well known it was built in a very nice way by Tenyo.  Be careful, there are only one kind of packaging for Astro Coin. The English version and the Japanese version. Tenyo has never sold this trick into a brown box.

Une carte à jouer recouvre le tout pour isoler complètement la pièce et une boite d'allumette est posée par dessus l'ensemble. Vous allumez un allumette, en promenez la flamme autour du triangle puis la carte et la boite d'allumettes sont retirées. Incroyable: la pièce de monnaie a disparue; il n'y a plus rien dans le triangle. Vous la retrouverez au fond de la boite d'allumettes quelques instants plus tard. Le tour est livré avec une pièce de rechange supplémentaire.

Review:
Astro Coin est une belle surprise à plusieurs niveaux. D'une part le tour est livré avec deux pièces de cuivre gravée avec le lapin de Tenyo sur les deux faces. La boite d'allumette quand elle est spéciale aussi car au delà de son design très jolie elle cache bien des secrets ainsi qu'un mécanisme plus élaboré que ce que j'avais pu imaginer. La boite d'allumette est en carton et elle a un aspect totalement naturel, pourtant à l’intérieur on trouve une partie cachée faite en bois sculpté qui entoure le mécanisme. C'est en fait la première fois que je vois un tour Tenyo utilisant du bois et jusqu'ici je pensais que seul le tour T-36 Billiard Balls avait été fabriqué avec cette matière.
Concernant la routine voici plusieurs choses à savoir. Âpres la disparition, La carte à jouer peut être montrée de tout les cotés, aucune trace de la pièce. Ensuite le magicien ouvre la boite d'allumette et on découvre la pièce à l'intérieur de celle ci. La boite est refermée et elle peut être elle aussi montrée de tout les cotés. Il n'y a pas d'empalmage, vous n'avez rien à cacher et vous êtes totalement clean à la fin de la routine. Pour conclure Astro Coin est un classique de la magie, il est sorti il y a plus de 40ans maintenant, et on peut dire que même si l'effet est connu il a été mis en forme d'une très belle manière par Tenyo. Soyez prudent, il n'existe qu'une seule version de l'emballage d'Astro Coin. La version anglaise et la version Japonaise. Tenyo n'a jamais vendu ce tour dans une boite marrons.

A solid match is inserted through a hole in the centre of a flat tube. Yet despite this, a coin inserted at the top of the tube falls straight through and out of the bottom - penetrating the match. After the trick all may be examined.

Un étui est montré à un spectateur. Une pièce est ensuite lâchée dans la fente qui se trouve au dessus de l'étui: la pièce tombe naturellement par l'autre extrémité. Ensuite, une allumette en bois est placée dans le trou qui traverse l'étui, interdisant le passage de la pièce. Pourtant, une pièce lâchée dans la fente passe directement à travers l'allumette! Tout est donné à examiner aux spectateurs et aucun spectateur ne pourra reproduire cet exploit.

Three amazing effects can be presented with Trio cigarette:

1-The magician produces cigarettes one by one from thin air. These cigarettes are placed into a hat as they are produced. At the very end they all vanish, except for the last one, wich the magician lights.

2-A playing card is shown to the audience. The magician magically changes it to a box of matches. The magician then takes out a match and lights it.

3- The magician vanishes a lit cigarette. Later, he reproduces the same lit cigarette. The cigarette pull is one of the best ever made.

Trois effets étonnants peuvent être présenté avec Trio cigarette:

1-Vous pouvez faire apparaitre des cigarettes dans les airs une par une. Les cigarettes sont ensuité jetés dans un chapeau au fur et à mesure qu'elles apparaissent. A la fin elle disparaissent toutes sans laisser de trace excepté une que le magicien allumera.

2-Une carte à jouer est présenté aux spectateurs. Le magicien va alors la transformer en un éclair en une boite d'allumette. Le magicien prend alors une allumette et l'allume.

3-Vous pouvez pousser une cigarette allumée à l'intérieur de votre poing et la faire disparaître sans aucune trace. Plus tard vous pourrez faire réapparaitre la même cigarette allumée. Le gimmick utilisé dans cet effet est un des meilleurs jamais produit du marché.
